To complete Transport Fever 3’s first campaign mission, Saving Mardi Gras, clear five alligators from the logging camp, repair the washed-out road, deliver six wood to the French Quarter hotel site, extend the city bus service to Lakeshore and run the parade from City Park along Canal Street. Follow the active objective panel in your save if its wording or order differs.
What Campaign 1 asks you to do
Saving Mardi Gras takes place in New Orleans after a major storm threatens the festival. The mission’s story goal is to clear the damage and help the city so the celebration can go ahead. The official Transport Fever 3 manual describes three star tiers—“Save Mardi Gras,” “Help New Orleans a little more,” and “Help New Orleans a lot more”—as well as a separate medal for subduing the alligators quickly. It does not publish numerical thresholds for the star tiers on the mission page.
The practical sequence below comes from a third-party walkthrough updated October 3, 2026, rather than an independently tested playthrough. Treat locations as guide-reported search areas, and use your in-game objective panel as the authority if a trigger or step differs.
Complete the mission in this order
1. Find the five alligators at the logging camp
Search around the logging camp before expecting lumber production to resume. The walkthrough points to approximate areas near the gate and street, trees, a shack, logs and the camp itself; it does not provide verified coordinates. Clearing all five also addresses the mission’s alligator medal condition, though the medal is described as a fast-completion bonus.

2. Repair the washed-out road
Remove the fallen trees and rebuild the missing section to restore the road connection. The guide recommends repairing the break rather than redesigning nearby streets.
3. Deliver six wood to the hotel construction site
- Build the Road Depot when the objective prompts you to do so.
- Buy a wagon that can carry wood from the depot.
- Set up the cargo connection between the logging camp and the French Quarter hotel construction site, then deliver six wood.
The depot is where you purchase the wagon; it is not the cargo line’s starting point. The objective’s required quantity is six wood, according to the walkthrough.

4. Extend the bus line to Lakeshore
Add a Lakeshore stop to the existing New Orleans bus line. Placing a stop alone does not satisfy the reported objective: passengers need to travel on the service.
5. Run the parade
Create the requested parade line from City Park along Canal Street. Assign the parade vehicles waiting in the depot beside the French Quarter Hotel.

Stars, the medal and mission completion
The official manual separates the main mission goal, its additional star tiers and an optional bonus medal. If your aim is simply to progress, follow the active objective panel and complete its required tasks. If you are pursuing every reward, check the panel for the extra tier and medal conditions rather than assuming that finishing the main sequence awards all of them.
The walkthrough reports that completing the listed tasks can earn three stars without building a large free-play network, but it gives no reproducible numeric threshold or timing. That is a guide author’s report, not a guarantee for every save or game version.

What happens after Campaign 1
Transport Fever 3’s campaign has eight missions, and missions unlock one after another. The game lets you resume a mission from its individual mission page. The official support FAQ describes the opening portion of the campaign as an introduction to the game’s core mechanics.
