Colorful unveiled the COLORFIRE B650M-MEOW WIFI as a way to build a Ryzen 9000 PC with a white-and-orange, cat-themed look. Announced on November 25, 2024, the AM5 motherboard is styled after Bobi, Colorful’s orange tabby mascot. It supports Ryzen 9000 processors, but buyers should check CPU and BIOS compatibility before choosing one.
What the B650M-MEOW WIFI offers
Colorful says the board supports AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors and is designed to coordinate with other MEOW components. The launch announcement does not provide a price or a general availability date; it directs interested buyers to contact a local COLORFUL representative. Colorful’s November 25, 2024 announcement gives the product details.
HotHardware’s November 2024 report describes the board as an AM5 model with these features. These specifications are attributed to that report rather than a readable official specification sheet:

- PCIe 5.0 for the main graphics slot and two M.2 sockets reported as PCIe 5.0 x4.
- Onboard Wi-Fi 6 and Realtek 2.5G Ethernet.
- Memory overclocking support reported at least to 7600 MT/s. This is a supported overclocking figure, not a guaranteed speed for every processor and memory kit.
- A 12+2+1 power-phase design with 55A DrMOS.
- USB connectivity described as modest, without a detailed port count in the report.

Check Ryzen 9000 BIOS support before buying
Colorful’s announcement lists Ryzen 9000 support, while HotHardware cautions that a BIOS update may be needed for a Ryzen 9000 CPU. That is a possible setup requirement, not evidence that the processor is incompatible. Before purchase, confirm the exact CPU support list and required BIOS revision with Colorful, and check how the board can be updated if it arrives with an older BIOS. HotHardware reported that Colorful had not specified BIOS Flashback for this B650 model.
How it compares with the newer B850M-MEOW WIFI7
Colorful announced the B850M-MEOW WIFI7 on November 28, 2025. Its announcement lists support for Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 processors, DDR5 memory, 5G LAN, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. It specifies one PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slot and one PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slot, plus rear one-click BIOS upgrade support. The listed M.2 configuration differs from the two PCIe 5.0 x4 sockets reported for the B650 board, so compare the exact storage arrangement against your needs rather than assuming the newer chipset means every connection is faster.

The B850 announcement establishes newer wireless and wired networking features, but it does not establish a price advantage or a performance advantage over the B650 model. Colorful directs buyers to local representatives for pricing and availability information.

What to verify for a complete build
The launch materials do not establish the board’s price, current regional stock, dimensions, full USB layout or validated memory speeds for particular kits. Check the exact board revision and current support information before planning a build, especially for case fit, CPU BIOS support, memory compatibility and the ports your peripherals need. HotHardware’s note about US distribution reflects its 2024 reporting and should not be treated as a statement of current stock.
