There is no universal “best” color gaming monitor in this shortlist: the candidates prioritize different things, from high-refresh OLED gaming to mini-LED HDR and creator-focused color work. Choose by separating color accuracy—how faithfully a display reproduces a target—from color gamut—the range of colors it can produce. A broad gamut can look vivid but oversaturate ordinary SDR content unless the monitor has useful color-space modes.
What makes a gaming monitor good at color?
For SDR games and web content, look for measured sRGB accuracy and a usable sRGB mode. Most web content and games are mastered for sRGB, according to RTINGS’ color-testing methodology. If a monitor displays a much wider gamut without controlling it for sRGB content, colors can appear unnaturally intense.
For HDR, gamut is only one part of the picture. DCI-P3 coverage indicates how much of a wider color range the display can reproduce; color volume, brightness, and contrast help explain whether those colors remain convincing across different brightness levels. Coverage percentages from different reviews are not automatically comparable: test methods, modes, and measurement conditions may differ.
Delta E (often written ΔE) is a measure of color difference from a target; lower values generally indicate a closer match in the tested mode. It does not mean every unit, setting, or picture mode will produce the same result. A wide-gamut percentage, meanwhile, does not establish accuracy by itself.

Five color-focused gaming monitor candidates
These models are useful starting points, not a uniform lab-tested ranking. The cited reviews cover different product types and methods, and the available evidence does not establish a definitive order across all five.
| Model | Best fit | Color evidence | Key qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| ASUS ProArt PA278QGV | QHD gaming plus creator work, if its gaming specifications suit your needs | IT Pro measured average ΔE 1.29 in sRGB and 1.52 against Display P3, with around 89% P3 and 82% Adobe RGB coverage in its 2026 review. | It is a professional monitor, not a gaming-first high-refresh recommendation. Check its refresh rate and response specifications against your games before choosing it. |
| Sony INZONE M10S II | High-refresh OLED gaming with attention to color modes | Tom’s Guide reported ΔE 0.26 and described sRGB and Cinema modes in its 2026 review. | The review cautions that an ultra-wide gamut can oversaturate content without suitable modes. Check which mode best serves your SDR games and other content. |
| KTC M27T6S | 1440p gaming where HDR is a priority | PC Gamer names it its best 1440p gaming monitor and praises its HDR performance. | The cited guide does not provide a directly comparable color-accuracy figure here. Mini-LED avoids OLED burn-in concerns; OLED, in turn, is praised for vivid color and deep blacks. |
| BenQ Mobiuz EX321UX | 4K mini-LED for mixed gaming and creative use | TechRadar’s 2026 review/guide highlights 1,000-nit peak brightness and claims 99% P3 and 99% Adobe RGB coverage. | Those are review claims, not a measurement established here on the same basis as the other products. TechRadar notes the monitor is expensive and not the strongest choice for online PvP. |
| Alienware AW3423DFW | Ultrawide QD-OLED for immersive gaming and wide-gamut color | Tom’s Hardware reports a 34-inch, 3440 × 1440 QD-OLED panel and measured 107.94% DCI-P3 coverage in its 2026 review. | The model name or suffix on the cited page may be inconsistent. Confirm the exact retail model before comparing specifications or buying. |
How to choose among them
For accurate SDR color and creator tasks
Start with the ProArt PA278QGV if you want a display oriented toward professional color work as well as gaming. Its reported sRGB result is useful evidence, but its creator-first positioning means you should verify refresh rate and response performance rather than assume it behaves like a gaming-first screen.
Rank #2
- QHD Resolution (2560 x 1440) has 1.7 times the pixel density of Full HD for incredibly detailed pinsharp images
- HDR10 provides brighter highlights and nuanced shadow for added depth - making every scene feel more vivid and realistic
- The 180Hz refresh rate minimizes lag for gameplay with ultra-smooth action. Plus, the 1ms response time helps capture your moves in real-time, allowing you to react fast for gaming precision
- AMD FreeSync reduces choppiness, screen lag and image tearing, ensuring that your fast-paced, complex in-game action is stable with minimal stutter
- Ergonomic stand allows for tilt, pivot and height adjustments to maximize gaming comfort
The INZONE M10S II is a more gaming-led OLED candidate. Its reported ΔE result is notably low, and the cited review describes sRGB and Cinema modes. Check the exact settings and test mode behind any accuracy claim, and use a suitable sRGB mode for content mastered to that space.

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteFor HDR games
Consider the KTC M27T6S if you want a 1440p mini-LED option and HDR is the main draw. The cited PC Gamer guide praises its HDR, but the supplied evidence does not give a directly comparable sRGB accuracy or P3 measurement for it.
Rank #3
- Smooth motion: 240Hz refresh rate and fast 0.5ms response time provide crisp visuals and fluid movement with less input lag.
- Seamless gaming: FreeSync Premium and HDMI VRR eliminate tearing for smooth, responsive PC and console gameplay.
- Fast IPS: Faster 0.5ms response with excellent color accuracy across wide IPS viewing angles.
- Rich color: 99% sRGB color coverage delivers vivid, detailed imagery with strong accuracy.
- Eye comfort: TÜV Rheinland 3‑star certified display lowers blue light while preserving color quality.
The BenQ EX321UX is the 4K mini-LED candidate in this group, with TechRadar citing high peak brightness and broad P3 and Adobe RGB coverage. Treat those as that guide’s claims; do not compare the percentages as if they came from a shared lab protocol. Its noted cost and weaker fit for online PvP matter if competitive motion performance takes priority over HDR and mixed-use capability.
For ultrawide immersion
The Alienware QD-OLED candidate combines a 34-inch ultrawide format with a reported broad DCI-P3 result. Confirm the suffix and exact model in the product listing because the cited page may have a naming inconsistency; do not rely on a similar-looking model name alone.
Rank #4

What to verify before buying
- Exact model and region: Match the full suffix on the manufacturer’s specification page to the retailer listing. Regional variants and model revisions may differ.
- Size, resolution, and GPU fit: Choose the resolution and aspect ratio that suit your desk, game library, and graphics hardware. The cited evidence identifies QHD for the ProArt and KTC, 4K for the BenQ, and 3440 × 1440 ultrawide for the Alienware; confirm all remaining specifications from the exact model’s current documentation.
- Refresh rate and response: Check measured or clearly specified performance for the exact model if you play fast competitive games. Color performance alone does not establish motion performance.
- Color modes: Look for a practical sRGB mode for SDR, plus relevant wide-gamut modes if you create content or use HDR. Verify whether the accuracy measurement refers to a factory mode or a calibrated mode.
- HDR evidence: Consider gamut together with color volume, brightness, and contrast. A P3 coverage figure or peak-brightness claim alone does not describe the full HDR experience.
- Price and availability: Prices, stock, lineups, and regional availability change. Confirm them for your location at purchase time rather than treating a review’s listing as current.
How to interpret review measurements
RTINGS explains its monitor color testing and calibration approach at its calibration guide. Its color-accuracy findings reflect a selected picture mode and the outlet’s testing method; they are not a promise that every sample or setting will reproduce the same result. Calibration with a colorimeter may help color-sensitive users, particularly those who also create content, but calibration cannot expand a panel’s physical gamut.
When comparing review figures, first ask whether they refer to the same color space, mode, and measurement approach. Keep accuracy, gamut coverage, color volume, brightness, contrast, resolution, and motion performance as separate decision points rather than treating one number as a complete picture of color quality.
