College Football 27 had one official October 1 title-update announcement from EA, but MP1st reported that players received two downloads in sequence: update 1.013, followed about an hour or two later by 1.014. EA’s accessible announcement does not list those version numbers or explain why there were two downloads.
What EA announced for October 1
EA’s official listing, titled “College Football 27 Title Update October 1st, 2026,” was published September 30 and describes an update covering several parts of the game. The accessible EA listing does not establish that the update was delivered as two separate downloads, nor does it show the 1.013 and 1.014 version identifiers. MP1st attributed the following issue-level details to the update announcement. EA’s accessible listing confirms the broad areas of change, but does not expose the full patch-note text, so these specifics should be understood as reported rather than independently verified from that listing.

Why were there two downloads?
The available sources do not explain why players received update 1.013 and then 1.014. MP1st says EA had not communicated that there would be two downloads; EA’s accessible listing presents a single October 1 title-update announcement and does not give a reason for the sequence. There is not enough information here to identify the downloads as a hotfix, deployment error, or platform-specific staging.
