You can reportedly retrieve Cointelegraph news as JSON without an API key through an undocumented GraphQL endpoint, but it is not an official, supported public API. For recent headlines, Cointelegraph’s RSS feed is simpler; for a maintained multi-publisher API, a hosted service such as CoinGecko’s requires a key. Before building anything, distinguish technical access from permission to reuse Cointelegraph content.
Does Cointelegraph have an official public API?
The sources reviewed do not establish a documented public Cointelegraph news API. A September 29, 2026 developer guide reports that the website uses an internal GraphQL endpoint at https://conpletus.cointelegraph.com/v1/. The guide says it accepted requests without an API key when tested, but also describes the endpoint as undocumented and liable to change. Treat it as an unofficial implementation detail, not a dependable service contract.
That distinction matters in production: Cointelegraph could change the endpoint, request shape, or access behavior without preserving compatibility for third-party applications. The guide reports observed behavior, not a commitment from Cointelegraph.

What can the reported GraphQL endpoint retrieve?
The guide describes three query patterns within a locale selection. These are reported capabilities based on its author’s tests, not officially documented guarantees.
#1 Best Overall
| Query pattern | Reported use | Reported result |
|---|---|---|
posts |
Retrieve recent posts using offset and length values | List metadata including title, publication time, lead text, category, author, and view count |
postsSearch |
Search posts by keyword | Search results with article metadata |
post |
Retrieve one article by slug | Article details, including the full body |
The guide does not establish a guaranteed history range, request quota, uptime level, or stable schema. Do not assume that offset-based retrieval will continue to expose a particular amount of archive content.
How can you get recent Cointelegraph headlines without a key?
For a lightweight feed of recent headlines, use Cointelegraph’s RSS feed: https://cointelegraph.com/rss. The developer guide reports category and tag feed variants as well. RSS is generally the more straightforward choice when you need a feed reader or a simple server-side headline import, rather than keyword search or deep historical access.
The guide says RSS does not provide keyword search or paging back through older items. Feeder’s October 5, 2026 directory lists 30 recent stories in the main feed; that is a snapshot, not a permanent feed-size guarantee.

The developer guide reports that a third-party website cannot call the GraphQL endpoint directly from browser JavaScript because its CORS response allows only the https://cointelegraph.com origin. CORS behavior can change, but a browser request from your own domain should not be treated as a supported integration.
Rank #3
If you are evaluating the reported endpoint, the guide’s practical approach is to make requests from your own server and return only the data your application needs. For RSS, it likewise suggests retrieving the feed through a backend when serving it to a third-party web page. A server-side proxy can address browser-origin restrictions; it does not grant permission to republish or otherwise reuse the content.
Which route fits your use case?
| Option | Documented and supported? | Key | Search and history | Browser or server | Publisher coverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cointelegraph RSS | Feed is available; the reviewed sources do not establish a broader API contract | No key is identified for the feed in the cited sources | Recent items; the guide reports no keyword search or paging back through history | Feed consumption is possible; the guide suggests backend retrieval when serving it to a third-party site | Cointelegraph |
| Reported Cointelegraph GraphQL endpoint | No; described by a third-party guide as undocumented and liable to change | Guide reports no key was needed in its tests | Latest posts, keyword search, and single-post retrieval are reported; history limits are not stated | Guide reports third-party browser calls blocked by CORS; server-side requests are suggested | Cointelegraph |
| CoinGecko Crypto News API | Product API; verify current access terms and capabilities with the provider | Product page directs users to obtain an API key | Product page presents a latest-news endpoint; history and search details are not stated here | Provider API; browser-versus-server restrictions are not stated on the cited product page | More than 100 publishers, including Cointelegraph, according to the product page |
The comparison is about the options described by the cited sources, not a full service-level or pricing comparison. CoinGecko’s product page identifies GET /api/v3/news and describes an aggregation service; it is not evidence of a no-key Cointelegraph API. See CoinGecko’s Crypto News API for current access details.
Does access let you republish Cointelegraph content?
No. Cointelegraph’s terms of service restrict automated scraping, reproduction, redistribution, and independent content pipelines based on its content without prior written authorization. An endpoint that responds to a request does not establish a license to copy article text, republish headlines at scale, or build a commercial data feed. Review the current terms and obtain written authorization if your intended use requires it.
The terms also describe Cointelegraph content as general informational and educational material, not investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. They warn that digital assets are volatile and high-risk, and that investors can lose some or all of their capital. News data should not be presented as personalized financial advice.
