For buyers in India, the clearest difference is the documented software commitment: Samsung promises six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates for the Galaxy M36 5G. CMF Phone 2 Pro’s listed rear-camera setup includes a dedicated telephoto camera, while Samsung specifies optical image stabilization (OIS) for its 50 MP main camera. There is no verified same-day price for matching configurations here, so an exact price difference cannot be stated fairly.

| Price | Current price not established | Historical Indian launch prices listed below; not current prices |
The specifications come from a mix of manufacturer announcements and comparison listings, so the source is identified where it matters. A 120 Hz rating describes refresh rate, not overall display quality; similarly, chipset names and camera megapixels alone do not establish real-world performance or photo quality.

These figures are not a current quote or confirmation of present stock. Nothing’s India product page identifies CMF Phone 2 Pro and links shoppers to Flipkart, but the retrieved page content does not state a price. Check both phones on the same day, for the same seller basis and comparable RAM/storage configurations, before calculating a difference. Include any bank, exchange, or other offer in the comparison rather than treating a discounted price as the standard price.

Which phone has the more useful camera setup?
CMF Phone 2 Pro: a listed telephoto camera
Comparison listings identify a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP telephoto camera, and an 8 MP ultrawide camera. A telephoto lens provides a separate framing option from the main camera, which may matter if you often want a closer view without relying only on digital cropping.
Galaxy M36: OIS on the main camera
Samsung specifies a 50 MP OIS triple rear-camera system. Gadgets 360 lists the other rear cameras as 8 MP ultrawide and 2 MP macro. OIS is a stabilization feature relevant to handheld shooting, but the specification alone cannot establish how either phone performs in photos or video.

Choose based on the camera role you value: a dedicated telephoto perspective or a main camera whose manufacturer explicitly specifies OIS. The available lens and megapixel information is not a head-to-head photo test.
How do their displays and performance compare?
Both phones are listed at 120 Hz. Samsung’s official announcement specifies a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display; 91mobiles lists CMF Phone 2 Pro at 6.77 inches with AMOLED and 1080 × 2392 resolution. The small stated size difference is not enough to predict which screen looks better or feels easier to handle.

The listed processors are MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro for CMF and Exynos 1380 for Samsung. 91mobiles reports AnTuTu figures of 688,050 for CMF Phone 2 Pro and 597,495 for Galaxy M36 on its comparison page. Those are that publisher’s benchmark results, not measurements from this article; benchmark scores also do not by themselves establish perceived speed across games, apps, or everyday tasks.

Samsung has the firmer documented support commitment in the available information: its June 2025 launch announcement promises six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates, and says the M36 ships with One UI 7. This is a promise about support, not a claim that every future update has already arrived.
91mobiles lists three years of OS updates and six years of security updates for CMF Phone 2 Pro. Because that figure is from a comparison listing rather than a current official Nothing support policy, verify Nothing’s latest official terms before treating it as definitive. If update longevity is a deciding factor, Samsung’s published commitment is the clearer evidence.

Which should you buy?
- Consider CMF Phone 2 Pro if the listed telephoto camera is useful to your photography and you prefer its particular feature mix. Verify its current price and Nothing’s support terms before buying.
- Consider Galaxy M36 5G if Samsung’s explicit six-generation Android and six-year security support commitment matters most, or if OIS on the main camera is a priority.
- Compare prices before deciding if value is the main question: check the exact RAM/storage version, seller, stock, and discounts for both phones at the same time. Samsung’s launch prices are historical and cannot establish today’s price gap.
