Cluedo: Painted Red Gallery Expansion is downloadable content for Nintendo Switch that adds a new gallery murder case, a Standard-mode rule called Double Reveal, and themed digital extras. You need the Cluedo game to play it. Nintendo lists the release date as 28 October 2026, so availability should be checked against Nintendo’s listing after that date.
What is the Painted Red Gallery Expansion?
It is a Nintendo Switch expansion for Cluedo, not a standalone game or a physical product. Nintendo’s UK listing and Spain listing identify Cluedo as the required game and give 28 October 2026 as the release date.
What does the expansion add?
A new gallery murder case
The case takes place at the exclusive gallery of Boddy Black, who is found dead an hour before its one-night public opening. Six people had early access and are suspects. As in Cluedo, players must determine who committed the murder, which weapon was used, and where it happened.

Double Reveal
The case introduces Double Reveal. In Standard mode, each suggestion receives two responses, changing how players gather and interpret clues. Nintendo describes it as a new way to play this gallery case; the listing does not provide further rules or explain how responses are selected.
Themed digital extras and case-file tasks
The expansion listing includes a new player avatar, a different card back, a themed clue sheet, a dice set, and 12 new tokens. It also describes case-file tasks that unlock cosmetics and additional backstory about the suspects. These are digital additions, not physical merchandise.
