Anti-Magic is the safest Grimoire to keep if you want a strong all-around option: it ranks near the top in all three published guides reviewed here. Poison is also a leading choice, while Battle Lightning’s placement varies sharply by guide. These are editorial rankings for a changing beta game—not official ratings or measured performance results.

Anti-Magic: the low-regret pick
Anti-Magic is the strongest recurring recommendation across the three guides. Pro Game Guides and Gamezebo place it in S tier, while Destructoid puts it in Tier I. If you have it and it supports the way you fight, there is little reason to reroll solely to chase another name on a tier list.

Poison: a strong option, not a unanimous top pick
Pro Game Guides and Destructoid place Poison at the top; Gamezebo rates it A. Consider how well its range-based approach suits your preferred combat distance rather than treating the S-tier label as a guarantee that it is best for every build.
Battle Lightning: check what the ranking values
Battle Lightning is S tier in Pro Game Guides and Gamezebo, but Tier II in Destructoid. That gap is a reminder that a tier placement depends on what a guide values—such as PvP usefulness, PvE clearing or ease of landing attacks—not on a shared measurement.

The rest: judge by usefulness, not just the letter
Explosive Flame, Ice and Chain all receive stronger placements in at least one guide than another. Water, Snow, Fire and Earth sit lower in the listed tables, but those labels do not establish that a Grimoire cannot work for you. A suitable kit that clears your current content can be more useful than a nominally higher-ranked option that does not fit your stats or playstyle.

The guides discuss factors such as damage, move variety, range, crowd control, stuns, block-breaking, summons and performance in PvE versus PvP. They assess these qualitatively; no shared measured score or controlled comparison is provided. A ranking that prizes one-on-one pressure may not match one focused on progression or broader utility.

Build fit adds another layer. Race bonuses, traits and stats can support a particular combat distance or playstyle, so a Grimoire’s practical value depends partly on what you already have. Treat the table as a guide to candidates, not a universal answer for every character.
When to reroll a Grimoire
Clover Time Wiki advises keeping combinations that support the same build direction, learning the Grimoire’s kit and checking whether it is actually blocking progression before rerolling. That is guide advice, not a verified developer rule. A working build that clears your content is a reasonable reason to save rerolls rather than spend them on a marginal tier-list upgrade. - Keep it if the Grimoire suits your preferred distance and your build is progressing.
- Consider rerolling if the kit consistently fails to support your goals and you have a clear alternative in mind.
- Do not reroll on tier label alone when the guides disagree or your current combination is working.
Where to get Grimoire spins
Pro Game Guides reports that players can reach the Grimoire Tower by asking Finral to teleport them or by following a compass direction, then use the gacha there. The guide also lists Crystal Mana as the spin currency and reports several ways to obtain it, including codes, a Wolf Mana boss drop, chests, crafting and fishing. These are guide-reported mechanics; confirm the route and current currency sources in the live beta before relying on them. How current is this tier list?
Clover Time is described in the reviewed guides as a changing beta game, and no official developer tier list or quantitative performance results were established. Pro Game Guides’ October 7, 2026 rankings, Destructoid’s October 2, 2026 rankings and Gamezebo’s undated placements are editorial judgments that may not reflect a later update. Check the live game and updated guides if a patch changes skills or balance.
