Clockify for Android lets you track work with a start-and-stop timer or add time manually after the fact. The app also supports project details, widgets, notifications, calendar views, and reports. Clockify says mobile time tracking works offline and syncs when the device reconnects; some reporting and team-administration tasks are better suited to the web app.
How to track time with Clockify on Android
Clockify’s Android workflow is straightforward: start a timer when work begins, describe or categorize the activity, then stop the timer when the work ends. The app requires an account and is available through Google Play. See Clockify’s Android app guide for its current setup and feature details.
- Create or sign in to your Clockify account in the Android app.
- Tap the play control to start tracking. Add a description and, where useful, project details.
- When you finish, stop the timer. The resulting time entry records the interval you tracked.
The timer logs the interval you tell it to track; it does not independently verify that work was performed. For time you did not record live, create a manual entry and set its duration or start and end times, or enter it through the timesheet. Clockify describes both live and manual tracking in its time-tracking feature guide.

| Method | Best for | How it works |

| Live timer | Work you are starting now | Start the timer, then stop it to record the interval. |
| Manual entry | Forgotten or previously completed work | Add an entry and provide the duration or start and end times; a timesheet is another option. |
What you can do in the Android app
Beyond starting and stopping the timer, Clockify documents several mobile conveniences. You can continue a previous activity, use a widget to start a new or previous entry, and manage a running timer from a notification. Calendar views and reports provide ways to review tracked time, including breakdowns by day and project. Details may change as the app evolves; Clockify lists its mobile capabilities on its Android app page.

- Please note, this device does not support E-SIM; This 4G model is compatible with all GSM networks worldwide outside of the U.S. In the US, ONLY compatible with T-Mobile and their MVNO's (Metro and Standup). It will NOT work with other CDMA carriers, and it is also not compatible with their MVNO (Visible, Xfinity Mobile, US Mobile, Cricket Wireless, etc).

Can Clockify track time offline?
Yes. Clockify says its mobile app can track time without an internet connection and automatically sync entries after the device reconnects. Its timer documentation also describes offline tracking on a phone or computer followed by online synchronization.
The documented behavior establishes offline entry and later syncing, but does not specify every edge case, such as how conflicting edits are handled. If connectivity returns and an entry does not appear as expected, check the app’s sync state and confirm the record in your account before relying on it for a timesheet or report.

When to use the app and when to switch to the browser
The Android app suits on-the-go time entry and quick checks. Clockify’s documentation describes broader reporting and team-administration functions in the web dashboard, with some dashboard and team-management capabilities unavailable in the mobile app. Use the browser when you need those web-only functions rather than assuming the phone app has complete feature parity. See Clockify’s mobile time-tracking overview for its current platform distinctions.

Is Clockify free on Android?
Clockify says its Android and iOS apps can be used on the free plan. The app being available on that plan does not mean every feature is free: some capabilities are plan-gated, and Clockify’s mobile page describes a seven-day trial of paid features. Check the live plan page before choosing a workflow, because limits and entitlements can change.

Treat those as plan details to verify against current pricing and feature information, not as a guarantee that today’s plan names or limits are unchanged. See the getting-started guide.
Personal tracking, GPS, and shared-device kiosks
Optional GPS tracking for teams
Clockify describes GPS tracking as a paid feature that captures a team member’s location when they start or stop a timer in the mobile app. It is aimed at worksite or field-team tracking, not required for the basic personal timer. Teams considering it should account for the app’s location permissions and discuss workplace privacy expectations with employees. Clockify’s GPS tracking page describes the feature.

Kiosk for a shared time clock
A kiosk is a different workflow: a shared device is configured as a clock-in station, with PIN or QR workflows among the documented sign-in options. It is not the same as a worker tracking time in their personal Android account. Clockify describes its kiosk setup and options in the getting-started guide.
Check compatibility before installing
Clockify’s documentation describes an Android app distributed through Google Play, but does not establish a minimum Android version, country availability, or a specific current app version here. Check the live Play Store listing on your device to confirm compatibility and availability before building a team workflow around the app.
