The Cli-Mate CLI-DH12 is a discontinued refrigeration dehumidifier with a claimed extraction rate of 12 litres per day. Its 1.9-litre tank is much smaller than that daily figure, though the unit can drain continuously through a hose. How the tank and continuous drainage work
The stated 12 L/day extraction rate and 1.9 L tank are different measures: the first is a claimed daily removal figure, while the second is the reservoir’s capacity. When collecting water in the tank, it will need emptying as it fills. How often depends on how much moisture the unit actually removes in the room; the published figures do not establish a fixed emptying interval.

Attach a hose to the outlet and route it to a drain, keeping every part of the hose at or below the outlet level. A section raised above the outlet can prevent correct drainage. The reservoir remains the alternative when a hose is not being used.

Installation and everyday operation
The manual describes the CLI-DH12 as a household appliance and recommends the following setup:
- Place it on a flat, stable surface.
- Leave at least 30 cm between the unit and walls or other appliances.
- Keep the vents unobstructed.
- For best performance, keep doors and windows closed while it is operating.
- Follow the manual’s recommended conditions of 5–35°C at the stated relative humidity limits; this is distinct from CHOICE’s broader listed claimed range of 0–40°C.
How to clean the air filter
The manual gives a cleaning procedure for the filter. It does not establish that a replacement filter is currently available or identify a compatible aftermarket part.

- Switch the dehumidifier off and unplug it before maintenance.
- Remove the air-intake frame to access the filter.
- Vacuum the filter, or wash it in cool water.
- Let the filter dry thoroughly before reinstalling it.
- Reinstall the filter and intake frame before using the unit again.
The available manual is a third-party mirror, not a manufacturer-hosted page; it names Aquaport Corporation as the service contact. Verify current service, parts compatibility and warranty information with the manufacturer or service provider.
What the available review evidence can—and cannot—tell you
CHOICE’s accessible listing identifies several results as members-only: its expert rating, measured water removal, energy efficiency, noise, tank capacity, ease of use and other test results. Those scores are therefore not available to support a performance verdict here. The 12 L/day figure is a claimed specification, and Andoo’s 46 dB figure is a retailer-listed specification—not CHOICE’s measured noise result.

As a result, published material supports a description of the unit and its instructions, but not a conclusion about how it performed in independent testing, how efficiently it removes water, or how loud it is in measured use.

If considering a second-hand CLI-DH12, check the exact model, condition, included drainage accessories and whether local service or compatible parts can be confirmed. Do not assume a retailer warranty listing applies to a used unit.
