Those are dated claims, not confirmation of a live deal or an all-time low.
What the October 2026 board-game deals included
The Double Kill’s October 5, 2026 roundup named Catan, Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, Candy Land, and Monopoly Deal as classic board-game options to watch ahead of Amazon’s sale. It reported that Candy Land and Monopoly Deal were under $15, but did not provide exact prices in the indexed article text. The roundup supplied no exact price for Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, or the other named games beyond Catan’s percentage discount. The Double Kill’s report described Ticket to Ride as having reached its lowest price since the prior Prime Day.

Amazon’s official announcement said Prime Big Deal Days ran for 48 hours on October 6–7, 2026, and was a Prime-member event. Amazon’s event announcement confirms the dates and membership restriction, but does not verify the board-game prices reported by The Double Kill. The deal roundup appeared on October 5, one day before the event began.

Should you wait for lower prices?
The Double Kill expected that the discounts already reported might not get lower during the event, but that was a prediction, not a verified outcome. Its mention of a possible Wingspan discount was also speculation. Neither claim establishes what prices ultimately did during the sale.
For a purchase decision, compare the live listing with the exact game edition you want and review whatever price-history evidence is available. A reported year-low for Catan and a comparison with the previous Prime Day for Ticket to Ride are narrower claims than “all-time low prices.” The cited roundup did not provide price-history charts or independent verification of either claim.
