The right Magento CRM integration depends on which customer and commerce records your team needs, which system owns each field, and who will monitor the sync. There is no universally best option in the available evidence: HubSpot’s Magento 2 app documents specific sync controls, while Adobe describes connector and API-led routes that require closer fit checks. Compare supported versions, data coverage, sync direction, backfill, security, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance before choosing.
What a Magento CRM integration should do
A CRM connection moves relevant commerce information into customer-facing workflows such as sales, marketing, and service. Depending on the integration, records may also move back to Commerce. The practical benefit is access to the records teams need and less duplicate manual entry when the connector synchronizes those records. HubSpot describes its app as sharing created or updated records between Magento 2 and HubSpot; Adobe describes connected customer data and integration services across its ecosystem. Neither establishes a guaranteed sales lift or a complete single customer view for every implementation. Adobe Commerce Services Guides and the HubSpot Marketplace listing describe these capabilities.
Start by specifying the workflow, not the vendor: which customer interactions should be visible, which system is authoritative for each field, how quickly changes need to appear, and who will respond when synchronization fails.

Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source provide REST APIs, and Adobe’s API documentation gives CRM back ends such as Salesforce as an example. Adobe also describes prebuilt connectors and an integration starter kit for connecting Commerce to back-office platforms, including CRM. Its examples include HubSpot and Salesforce CRM; those examples show options in Adobe’s integration landscape, not that every listing supports every Commerce edition, version, or CRM product.
#1 Best Overall
HubSpot’s Marketplace lists a Magento 2 data sync app. Microsoft’s integration index points to Magento integrations for Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, including a third-party app; that reference does not establish a Dynamics 365 Sales CRM connector or equivalent CRM object coverage.
These routes are not interchangeable. A Marketplace app may offer a quicker setup with a defined scope; an API-led or starter-kit approach may fit a more tailored workflow but brings implementation and operational responsibilities. Confirm the exact product and version support with the connector provider before committing.
Compare the documented integration routes
| Route | What the cited source establishes | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| HubSpot Magento 2 data sync app | HubSpot’s listing describes background syncing, historical sync, one-way or two-way sync, and filtering by Magento fields or HubSpot lists. HubSpot Marketplace | Supported Commerce editions and versions; included objects and field mappings; conflict rules; sync schedule or latency; failure handling; account or plan requirements; current price and support. |
| Salesforce CRM connector or API/custom integration | Adobe names Salesforce CRM among connector examples, and its REST API guide identifies Salesforce as an example CRM back end. Adobe Commerce; Adobe Developer REST API Overview | Current connector or implementation provider; supported Salesforce products; Commerce edition and version; objects, direction, and latency; API limits; monitoring and maintenance ownership. |
| Dynamics-related integration | Microsoft’s index points to Dynamics 365 and Magento integration options for Finance and Operations apps, including a third-party app. Microsoft Learn | Whether the intended use is Finance and Operations or Dynamics 365 Sales; exact connector, data model, supported versions, vendor, and terms. |
| Adobe integration starter kit or API-led custom work | Adobe describes scripts and templates, architecture guidance, mapping, validation, connection management, customization, and monitoring capabilities. Adobe: Streamline commerce operations | Development effort; API and event coverage; who operates and upgrades the integration; error recovery; field ownership; security review; total ongoing cost. |
The table reflects documented examples, not a feature ranking. The sources do not establish a neutral comparative benchmark, full object-by-object coverage, or current total-cost comparison.
How to choose: match the connector to your workflow
- Data coverage: List the objects and fields teams actually need, such as customer and transaction records. Confirm the connector maps each required field rather than assuming the app syncs everything.
- Direction and ownership: Decide which system controls each field. For two-way sync, ask how conflicting updates are resolved and whether direction can be set by object or field.
- Timing and history: Establish whether updates need to arrive near real time or can be scheduled, and whether existing records need a historical backfill. Ask how the initial load is handled alongside ongoing changes.
- Filtering and transformation: Check whether you can restrict records or transform values to match your CRM processes. HubSpot’s listing specifically describes filters based on Magento fields or HubSpot lists; do not assume equivalent controls in another route.
- Authentication and access: Confirm the authorization method, API scopes, and data access required. Give the integration only the access its workflow needs.
- Monitoring and recovery: Find out where sync status and errors appear, whether failed records can be retried, and who owns incident response.
- Compatibility and support: Verify Commerce edition and version, CRM product and plan, API limits, connector update policy, and which vendor or internal team provides support.
- Operating cost: Include configuration, development, support, upgrades, and failure handling—not only a connector’s listed price.
What Adobe’s integration starter kit adds
Adobe describes its starter kit as an accelerator for connecting Commerce with back-office services. Its described capabilities include onboarding scripts and templates, data mapping and validation, connection management, configuration and serverless customization, and dashboards for monitoring. These functions may reduce the amount of integration work a project needs, but they do not remove the need to define data ownership, test edge cases, and assign an operator.
Adobe stated on March 18, 2025, that the starter kit can reduce development time and maintenance costs by up to 50%. This is Adobe’s stated potential, not an independently verified benchmark or a guaranteed result for a particular project. See Adobe’s operations overview.

Adobe’s Commerce Admin integration process establishes OAuth credentials and redirect URLs, then identifies the API resources the integration can access. Adobe documents an authorization flow in which a merchant authorizes the integration, completes any third-party login, and receives confirmation. The exact setup can differ by connector, so follow its current documentation and review the requested access with technical and security teams. Adobe’s Integrations guide explains the Commerce process.
Quick Recap
Rank #4
- Define the data contract. List objects, fields, direction, authoritative system, filters, and expected update timing before configuring the connector.
- Review authorization. Verify redirect URLs, OAuth credentials, and requested API resources against the workflow’s needs.
- Configure mappings and rules. Set field mappings, validation, filters, and any conflict behavior supported by the selected route.
- Test historical and live records. If backfill is available, test a representative sample, then check new and updated records in both systems according to the intended sync direction.
- Test failures and assign ownership. Confirm how errors surface and recover, and name the team responsible for monitoring and connector updates.
Questions to answer before you sign off
- Does the connector support your exact Magento or Adobe Commerce edition and version, and your exact CRM product?
- Which objects and fields are shared, and can the mappings be changed?
- Is synchronization one-way or two-way, and what governs conflicting edits?
- Can you filter records and import historical data? What happens to records that fail validation?
- How is the integration authenticated, what access does it request, and how are credentials maintained?
- Where can an administrator see sync status, diagnose errors, and retry or correct records?
- Who handles connector updates, support, and ongoing operational costs?
