There is no single best restaurant website builder for every operator. The right choice depends on whether you need a branded information site, direct online ordering, reservations, a website tied to your existing point-of-sale (POS) system, or a managed marketing package. The ten options below cover those different jobs; they are not a tested ranking.
How to choose a restaurant website builder
Start by listing the tasks the website must handle. A menu and location page may be enough for an information-focused site. If the goal is to move orders online, check the complete checkout flow, fees, payment processing and POS connection. For reservations, confirm whether the feature is built in or supplied through a separate service.
- Menu management: Can staff update prices, availability and menu sections without rebuilding pages?
- Ordering and reservations: Are these native tools, third-party integrations or paid add-ons? Check transaction charges as well as subscription costs.
- POS compatibility: Confirm that the platform connects to your current system and determine what data syncs, such as orders, prices or item availability.
- Setup and support: Decide whether you want to build the site yourself, use a managed service or work within a POS provider’s website offering.
- Growth and control: Consider multiple locations, design flexibility, mobile usability and whether you can export or manage your content if you change providers.
- Total cost: Include the website plan, add-ons, implementation, payment processing, order fees, hardware and contract terms. A free-to-start plan can still incur transaction costs.
Product features and prices can vary by country, plan and date. The descriptions below identify each option’s apparent fit, not a guarantee that every feature is included in every package.

10 restaurant website builders to consider
1. Wix: A flexible DIY site with restaurant tools
Wix’s restaurant website tools cover templates, menu creation, online ordering, reservations and SEO. That makes it a candidate for restaurants that want to build and manage a branded site themselves rather than choose a restaurant-only managed package.
#1 Best Overall
Wix describes its online ordering as commission-free. That does not mean accepting payments is free: verify the required plan and payment-processing charges for your location before choosing it.
2. Squarespace: Design-led restaurant sites
Squarespace’s restaurant-site guidance covers restaurant designs and menu blocks. Its documentation also describes integrations such as OpenTable, Tock and ChowNow for reservation and ordering workflows.
Menu blocks and built-in commerce are premium features, and Tock requires a separate subscription. Check current plan eligibility and whether the integrations provide the ordering or reservation experience you need.
3. Toast Websites: A natural fit for existing Toast users
A September 2026 comparison presents Toast Websites as a website option bundled with Toast POS plans, making it worth investigating if your restaurant already uses Toast. The published comparison lists a $0–$69 monthly range plus hardware, but this is a secondary-source snapshot, not a verified current quote.
Ask Toast which website features are included in your package, what hardware or contract terms apply, and whether the ordering flow fits your operation.
4. Square Online: Online selling within the Square ecosystem
Square Online is a candidate for restaurants already using Square that want to add an online presence and ordering. A September 2026 comparison describes free and paid tiers at $0, $49 and $149 per month, plus processing; verify local pricing, plan details and payment charges directly with Square.
Rank #3
- Portable Size: The server book is designed at a convenient size of 8.0" x 5.1" x 0.8", making it perfect for holding a regular guest checkbook and fitting snugly into your apron pocket. This compact design allows for easy access and portability wherever you go.
- Durable Quality: Crafted from vegan leather, this server book showcases outstanding craftsmanship and quality. Not only does the material offer durability, but it also exudes a sophisticated appearance that distinguishes it from other server books in terms of style and elegance.
- Convenient for Writing: The strategically placed pen holder on the side, rather than in the middle, ensures seamless access to your pen while taking orders. This thoughtful design enables quick note-taking without any interruptions. Additionally, the sturdy writing surface enhances stability and precision when writing down important information.
- Big Capacity: With a total of nine pockets, this server book provides ample space to organize various items such as a checkbook, cash, change, credit card slips, and other essential documents. The zippered pocket included ensures the security of your coins and bills, offering peace of mind.
- Keep Organized: Going beyond practicality, this server book streamlines service processes. By using this server book, you can efficiently maintain organization and have all necessary items easily accessible while serving customers, ultimately enhancing your efficiency in providing exceptional service.
“Free” refers to the plan price in that comparison, not necessarily the cost of taking orders or payments.

5. Owner.com: Managed direct ordering and marketing
A September 2026 comparison characterizes Owner.com as a managed package combining a direct-order website, app and marketing tools. It reports one option at $249 per month plus 5% per order and another at a flat $499 per month. These are secondary-source price snapshots; confirm current fees, contract terms, eligibility and exactly what the service includes.
6. Popmenu: Managed website and marketing services
Popmenu is presented in a September 2026 comparison as a managed website service with menu SEO and marketing capabilities. That comparison lists monthly prices of $159, $269 and $449, but those figures are snapshots rather than guaranteed current prices. Ask for a quote that spells out included services, term length and any additional charges.

7. BentoBox: Managed restaurant website and commerce
Comparison sources describe BentoBox as a managed restaurant website and commerce platform. At least one comparison does not publish a website price, so request a current quote and compare the package scope, commerce features, implementation and ongoing costs with your needs.
8. SpotHopper: Managed site, social and email support
A September 2026 comparison describes SpotHopper as a managed website, social media and email solution and says it does not publish a price. Confirm the service scope, contract and costs directly; the comparison’s fit description is not a substitute for a proposal tailored to your restaurant.

- For a DIY site with restaurant-specific features: Compare Wix’s documented menus, ordering and reservations with Squarespace’s design tools and integration-based workflows.
- For a restaurant already using a POS system: Investigate the website offering from that POS provider, such as Toast Websites for Toast operators or Square Online for Square operators. Confirm what syncs and what the full payment cost will be.
- For a managed direct-order or marketing package: Request proposals from services such as Owner.com, Popmenu, BentoBox or SpotHopper, then compare deliverables, fees and contract terms line by line.
- For ordering and reservations in a restaurant-focused platform: Check whether UpMenu meets the operational requirements and regional needs.
- For a menu-led site with ordering: Evaluate Menubly’s current plan and checkout costs before relying on its reported low price.
