Download Vivaldi from its official download page, then choose the installer or app that matches your operating system and processor. Vivaldi is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS, but the correct package—and the systems that receive current releases—varies by platform.
Choose the right Vivaldi download
The official Vivaldi download page lists these options. Check your device’s operating system and processor architecture before downloading, particularly for Windows ARM and Android APKs.

Vivaldi’s release archive listed Stable 8.2 (4133.84) for desktop, Android 8.2 (4147.130), and iOS 8.2 (4147.136), as checked on October 7, 2026. The desktop 8.2 post is dated September 3, 2026, and the mobile 8.2 post is dated September 10, 2026. These version numbers change; confirm the current listing on the release page before installing.
Check compatibility before installing
Windows
Vivaldi’s current desktop installation guidance supports Windows 10 and newer. Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 are limited to Vivaldi 5.6; Windows XP supports only Vivaldi 1.0. Although the download page lists legacy installers, those are not current releases for those older systems. See Vivaldi’s desktop installation and requirements guidance for details.

macOS
The listed minimum is macOS 13 (Ventura). The download page offers a 64-bit Mac installer; do not assume it will install on an older macOS version.
Linux
Vivaldi’s help page lists 64-bit Ubuntu 24.04 or newer, Debian 13 or newer, openSUSE 16 or newer, and Fedora Linux 43 or newer. The download page offers DEB and RPM packages in 64-bit and ARM64 variants. Vivaldi also documents Snap installation. A Flatpak package is maintained by a Vivaldi team member, but Vivaldi says it is not officially endorsed or supported.

Android and iOS
For Android APK installation, match the package to the device’s processor: ARM 32-bit, ARM 64-bit, or Intel 64-bit. The official page also links to several app stores. Vivaldi’s mobile feature set is not identical to desktop: its download page describes built-in ad blocking and tracking protection, and syncing open tabs, saved logins, and notes with desktop. The September 2026 mobile release notes also advertise full extension support on Android.

Install Vivaldi using the package for your device
On desktop, the package format depends on the operating system. Use Vivaldi’s platform-specific instructions if you need help with a package or installation option.
- Windows: Download the appropriate EXE installer for 64-bit Intel/AMD, ARM64, or legacy 32-bit Intel from the official download page, then open it and follow the installer prompts.
- macOS: Download the DMG, open it, and follow the installation prompts. Your Mac must meet the macOS 13 minimum.
- Linux: Choose the package that matches your distribution and architecture—typically DEB or RPM—or follow Vivaldi’s documented Snap instructions. Consult the desktop installation guide for package-specific steps.
- Android: Install through a linked store, or download the matching APK from Vivaldi’s page and follow Android’s prompts. APK installation may require allowing installation from that source in your device settings.
- iOS: Open Vivaldi’s iOS page and use its app link to check the current store listing and install instructions.
Verify that the installer is authentic
Vivaldi says its official installation packages are signed. Start from the official download page; if you want to check a file, follow the current platform-specific verification instructions in Vivaldi’s guide to official builds and signatures.

- Windows: Vivaldi’s guide says the digital signature should identify “Vivaldi Technologies AS” and report that the signature is OK.
- macOS: The guide explains how to check the application’s code-signing authorities.
- Linux: Vivaldi describes its packages as self-signed and provides a signing-key verification procedure.
Use the guide’s current steps rather than relying on old sample package version numbers that may no longer match the download.

Vivaldi’s desktop feature page describes tools including tab tiling and stacks, Workspaces, Quick Commands, Mail, Feed Reader, Calendar, Notes, Sync, translation, page capture, pop-out video, history, and mouse gestures. These are product descriptions, not a guarantee that every feature is available in the same form on every platform.
