A pre-market quote for China Construction Bank was reported at EUR 1.10 on the Lang & Schwarz venue at 07:59:45 CEST on October 8, 2026. Against the EUR 1.08 prior close on October 7, that quote was up EUR 0.02, or 1.85%. The word “unchanged” in the headline therefore does not match the reported move. The figure is a historical, venue-specific snapshot from a financial news report by AD HOC NEWS. It is not a current price for the bank’s shares, and it does not state which of the bank’s listed share lines it describes.

What the October 8 quote reports

The table below sets out each field in the report, with the qualification that applies to it.

Field Reported value Qualification
Observation time 07:59:45 CEST, October 8, 2026 Time of the reported observation only
Venue and session Lang & Schwarz, pre-market A German-market trading venue, not the bank’s home exchange
Quoted price EUR 1.10 A displayed quote, not a completed trade
Prior close EUR 1.08 (October 7, 2026) Venue prior close as reported
Change +EUR 0.02 (+1.85%) Computed against the EUR 1.08 prior close
Bid / ask EUR 1.09 / EUR 1.11 Gap of EUR 0.02 between the two displayed prices
Instrument identifier in report ISIN CNE1000002H1 Stated in the report; the line it maps to is not stated
Share line (Hong Kong H-share or Shanghai A-share) Not stated Not established by the AD HOC NEWS report
Currency conversion method Not stated Not established by the report

Why “unchanged” does not fit

The same publisher ran a separate October 7 report that described a EUR 1.09 quote as unchanged against a EUR 1.09 prior close, with a EUR 1.09 bid and a EUR 1.10 ask. That label belongs to October 7 and cannot be carried over to the October 8 observation. A closely related headline in the same results reads “plus 1.85 percent,” which matches the comparison in the October 8 report. When a headline and its body disagree, use the prior close and the change figure, since those are the values the report actually calculates.

The AD HOC NEWS report does not say whether the Lang & Schwarz quote tracks the Hong Kong line, the Shanghai line, or a euro-denominated line derived from one of them. The euro figure should not be read as a Hong Kong dollar or a Shanghai yuan price converted at a known rate.

Reading a pre-market quote correctly

  • A quote is not a trade. The report shows a bid of EUR 1.09 and an ask of EUR 1.11. No completed transaction at EUR 1.10 is reported.
  • Pre-market prices can reflect limited activity. The report does not state the volume behind the quote, so a single displayed price says little about the depth of the market.
  • The comparison point matters. The +1.85% move is measured against the October 7 prior close on the same venue. It is not a comparison against the bank’s official exchange close in Hong Kong or Shanghai.
  • Timestamps age quickly. A quote from 07:59:45 CEST on October 8 describes that moment only.

Euro and HKD fields on a European instrument page

Boerse Stuttgart’s instrument page for China Construction Bank lists ISIN CNE1000002H1, symbol C6T and WKN A0M4XF. It shows euro as the trading and settlement currency and Hong Kong dollar as the nominal currency. That explains why euro and HKD fields can appear together on a European listing. The page does not establish that its prices are the same observation as the Lang & Schwarz quote.

What is not established, and where to check

  • The share line behind the euro quote (Hong Kong H-share or Shanghai A-share) is not identified.
  • The currency conversion method and the market-data feed used for the Lang & Schwarz figure are not identified.
  • No primary Lang & Schwarz data feed and no independent exchange confirmation of that exact 07:59:45 CEST observation were found.

For the bank’s own disclosures, use its investor announcements and annual and interim reports. For a current price, check a live quote for the specific ticker you are interested in (939 or 601939) on its home exchange, or on your broker’s platform, and note the timestamp on that quote.
