EUR 1.08 is not verified as China Construction Bank’s after-hours last price, and the reported −0.92% move cannot be confirmed from the available quote record. A secondary report dated October 6, 2026, instead puts the Lang & Schwarz price at EUR 1.09, unchanged from the prior close, with EUR 1.08 bid and EUR 1.10 ask. That observation was reported at 8:49 p.m. CEST (18:49 UTC); it is a dated quote, not a current price.
What the reported EUR quote says
An AD HOC NEWS report published October 6, 2026 describes China Construction Bank at EUR 1.09 on Lang & Schwarz at 8:49 p.m. CEST. It says the price was unchanged against the prior close, also EUR 1.09, and separately lists a EUR 1.08 bid and EUR 1.10 ask.
That distinction matters: a bid is the price buyers are offering, while the ask is the price sellers are requesting. Neither is necessarily the most recent completed trade, or “last” price. The report therefore makes it plausible that EUR 1.08 was a bid in a nearby quote, but it does not establish that the headline’s EUR 1.08 was the last price at its stated time.
Why the −0.92% move is unconfirmed
The October 6 report does not support a −0.92% change: it describes EUR 1.09 as unchanged from the prior close. The exact EUR 1.08 and −0.92% pairing has no verified timestamped quote record in the available sources. Without the matching last price, comparison price, and calculation convention, it would be misleading to infer a prior close from the percentage or to present the move as confirmed.

After-hours displays may refer to different quote fields or venues. To assess a displayed percentage, check that the price and percentage refer to the same instrument, venue, timestamp, and comparison period. The dated Lang & Schwarz observation should not be presented as a live quote.
Which China Construction Bank listing is involved?
China Construction Bank has two listed share classes. Its official investor-relations FAQ identifies the H-shares on the Hong Kong Main Board as ticker 939 and the A-shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange as ticker 601939. HKEX filings use stock code 00939 for the Hong Kong line.

A EUR-denominated after-hours display should not be treated as interchangeable with either listing’s official exchange close. Confirm which share class the quote service identifies, and distinguish its displayed currency and quote field from the underlying listing’s trading currency and exchange price.

- Identify the instrument and venue. Confirm whether the quote refers to the Hong Kong H-shares (939/00939), Shanghai A-shares (601939), or a separate EUR display on Lang & Schwarz.
- Check the timestamp and quote field. Record the date, time zone, venue, and whether the figure is last, bid, or ask. Do not substitute a bid for a last trade.
- Compare like with like. Verify the stated percentage against the same instrument and the relevant comparison price, such as the venue’s prior close, using the quote provider’s stated convention.
- Use exchange data for exchange-day checks. HKEX’s End of Day Summary describes daily high, low, closing price, and adjusted turnover for Main Board and GEM securities. It can help verify Hong Kong exchange-day data for CCB’s H-shares, but it does not verify a separate Lang & Schwarz after-hours quote.
What company filings can—and cannot—confirm
HKEX’s issuer search and filing index lists China Construction Bank under code 00939, including a Half-Year Report 2026 dated September 28, 2026, and a monthly return dated September 30, 2026. These filings establish issuer and reporting context; they do not corroborate the EUR after-hours price or its percentage change.
