On April 17, 2026, Chatr replaced its $34/60GB and $39/80GB offers with $34/80GB, including a reported 25GB Auto-Pay bonus, and removed the $39 tier. That deal is no longer the current listing: as checked October 4, 2026, Chatr advertises $35/month for 30GB, including a 5GB Auto-Pay bonus, for new activations.
What changed in April 2026?
Before the change, Chatr offered 60GB for $34 per month and 80GB for $39 per month. MobileSyrup reported on April 17 that the carrier raised the $34 plan’s data allowance to 80GB, with a 25GB bonus for customers enrolled in Auto-Pay, and removed the $39 option. MobileSyrup’s April 17 report described the change as more data at the $34 price, but also noted that Chatr then had no monthly plan above that price. A second report that day also covered the revised allowance and dropped tier. iPhone in Canada’s April 17 report
The Auto-Pay bonus matters when comparing the offer: the reported 80GB included 25GB tied to enrollment, rather than being an unconditional base allowance. The April reports are historical; they do not establish what Chatr offers today.

The chronology is important: the $34/80GB offer reported in April was followed by a later change. A July 2026 report documented Chatr moving from $34/80GB to $35/30GB. MobileSyrup’s July report Check Chatr’s own terms before signing up; its featured listing is for new activations, and availability or switching rules for existing customers may differ.
How to assess the current offer
- Separate base data from bonuses. Compare the included allowance and any Auto-Pay data separately, and confirm the conditions for receiving a bonus.
- Check eligibility and timing. The $35 listing is for new activations. Ask Chatr whether an existing line can move to it and when a plan change would take effect.
- Check coverage where you use your phone. Chatr describes the plan as 4G, but an advertised data allowance does not guarantee service in every location. Review coverage for your home, workplace and regular travel.
- Match the communication features to your needs. Confirm calling destinations, text destinations, voicemail and any international or roaming requirements in the specific plan terms.
- Compare payment structure. Monthly service offers recurring flexibility; annual options require an up-front yearly payment and have different allowances.
- Use current competitor terms. Price comparisons made in April 2026 may no longer apply, so check carriers’ current listings before choosing.

Chatr says its annual plans have no credit check or term contract and advertises eSIM activation or a physical SIM option. The listing does not establish how the 40GB is allocated across the year or what happens when it is used up; consult the plan’s terms if those details affect your decision.
Bottom line
The April 2026 change temporarily made Chatr’s $34 tier more generous on paper and eliminated its $39 tier. It is not a description of today’s offer: the checked Chatr listing is $35/month for 30GB, including a 5GB Auto-Pay bonus, for new activations. Confirm eligibility and full terms with Chatr before switching or activating.
