CBH Group has opened nominations for three Member Director positions in the 2027 election: Districts 1, 3 and 5. Candidates can nominate through the Candidate Assessment Panel (CAP) route or the later non-CAP route, each with its own deadline.
Which CBH Member Director positions are open?
Co-operative Bulk Handling Limited (CBH) is seeking candidates for Member Director positions in District 1, District 3 and District 5. These are three positions, one in each district, in the 2027 CBH Member Director Elections. CBH’s Director elections page lists the open roles and nomination details.
What are the 2027 nomination deadlines?
CBH provides separate nomination windows depending on whether a candidate takes part in the Candidate Assessment Panel process.

Both routes are for the same Member Director positions; the CAP assesses participating candidates but does not select the election winner.

What does the Candidate Assessment Panel do?
The CAP is a three-person panel: one CBH Member Director and two external members, making it majority independent. CBH says the process followed its 2020 governance review. Participating candidates complete a self-assessment, provide a resume and attend an interview. The panel assesses them against skills and attributes sought by the CBH Board.
CBH’s 2024 election announcement says the CAP report is made available to members before voting, and its 5 October 2023 Member Director election announcement states: “It is important to note that the CAP will not recommend a preferred candidate or candidates.” The panel’s assessment is therefore not an endorsement of a candidate over another.

CBH’s 2024 election announcement said candidates did not need to have their main growing interests in the district where they nominated. As the available 2027 page does not restate that point, candidates should confirm whether it applies to this election with the Returning Officer or in the 2027 Candidate Information Pack.
