Cato Networks announced an initial $359 million Series G financing on June 30, 2025, led by new investors Vitruvian Partners and ION Crossover Partners. That is the original round figure: in a February 2026 update, Cato said an extension brought the Series G total to $409 million. The company said the initial financing valued it at more than $4.8 billion.

How much did Cato Networks raise?

The June 30, 2025 announcement described a $359 million initial Series G round. Cato said that financing brought its total funding to more than $1 billion and valued the company at more than $4.8 billion. Those totals and the valuation are figures reported by Cato, not independently verified valuation data.

On February 24, 2026, Cato reported that the initial round and a subsequent extension together totaled $409 million. The two figures describe different points in the financing: $359 million was announced initially; $409 million is the later cumulative Series G amount after the extension. Cato’s June 2025 announcement and its February 2026 update set out those amounts.

Who invested in the Series G?

Cato named Vitruvian Partners and ION Crossover Partners as the new investors leading the June 2025 round. Existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, Acrew Capital, and Adams Street Partners also participated.

The announcement included supportive statements from company executives and investors. These are the views of interested parties, rather than independent assessments of Cato’s market position. For example, Lightspeed partner and co-founder Ravi Mhatre said, “As a longtime investor in Cato Networks, we’ve had a front-row seat to its incredible journey, from defining the SASE category to leading it.”

What did Cato say it would do with the money?

Cato said it planned to use the capital to advance AI security, increase research and development, expand the platform’s use cases and addressable market, and grow its global partner ecosystem and customer-facing teams. These were stated plans at the time of the announcement; they do not establish how much was subsequently spent on each area.

What do Cato’s growth figures show?

In its February 2026 update, Cato reported that 2025 annual recurring revenue (ARR) exceeded $350 million, up 43% year over year. These are company-reported operating figures. ARR is a measure of recurring revenue at a point in time, not the same as recognized revenue or profit.

For context on the financing history, Cato announced a $238 million equity investment in September 2023 and said its total funding then stood at $773 million. The company’s June 2025 announcement later reported total funding above $1 billion after the initial Series G.

How does the SASE market forecast relate to the raise?

Cato’s 2025 announcement cited Gartner’s forecast that the worldwide Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) market would grow at a 26% compound annual growth rate and reach $28.5 billion by 2028. The cited Gartner report, Forecast Analysis: Secure Access Service Edge, Worldwide, was dated February 5, 2025. This is a forecast for the market, not a measured result or a projection of Cato’s own growth. Gartner report details.

What the financing figures establish—and what they do not

The company announcements establish what Cato said it raised, who it named as investors, how it described its intended spending, and what operating figures it reported. They do not independently verify the private company’s valuation, ARR, customer count, or competitive claims. The financing amounts should therefore be read as company-reported figures, with the date and extension status attached.
