Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse has no single download-size figure across official Nintendo listings. As listed on October 4, 2026, Nintendo’s US store estimates 4.2 GB for Switch and Switch 2; Nintendo UK lists 2.9 GB for Switch; and Nintendo Australia lists 2.8 GB for both consoles. KONAMI separately publishes minimum required capacity figures, which are not the same specification as Nintendo’s download estimates.
Official download-size listings by region
The figures below are regional storefront listings, not a confirmed universal installed size. Nintendo and KONAMI list October 15, 2026 as the game’s release date, so these are pre-release figures as of October 4, 2026.
| Storefront | Platform | Published figure | What the figure describes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nintendo US | Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 | 4.2 GB | Estimated game file size |
| Nintendo UK | Nintendo Switch | 2.9 GB | Download size |
| Nintendo Australia | Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 | 2.8 GB | Game file size |
The official listings do not explain why these regional numbers differ. Treat the number on the store for your region as that store’s current listing rather than assuming one figure applies everywhere. Nintendo US also warns that preorder information, including download size, may not be final.
KONAMI’s capacity figures are a separate specification
KONAMI’s US product page labels its figures “Minimum Required Capacity.” That table lists the following by edition:

| Edition | Minimum required capacity | On Nintendo Switch | Availability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | 8 GB | 4 GB | Digital |
| Midnight Edition | 10 GB | 6 GB | Physical or digital |
These are KONAMI’s capacity specifications, not alternative labels for the regional Nintendo download-size estimates. The listed figures do not establish why the two measures differ.
Does the physical edition require a download?
Yes. KONAMI states: “The physical version requires an additional download from the online store.” The Midnight Edition is available physically or digitally and adds a Digital Sound & Art Gallery plus three in-game bonuses to the main game; the Standard Edition is digital.

If you are planning storage on Switch 2, Nintendo says the console is compatible only with microSD Express cards. That is a compatibility rule for cards, not evidence that one is necessary for Belmont’s Curse.
