Casio’s five reported BGA-3000 variants are BABY-G watches, not G-SHOCK-branded models. The Japan-market lineup pairs solar charging and Multiband 6 timekeeping with resin or composite bands; the reported resin versions weigh 32 g, while composite versions weigh about 50 g. The detailed specifications and price confirmed here are for the composite-band BGA-3000C-2AJF, listed by Casio Japan at ¥39,050 including tax.
What are the new Casio BGA-3000 watches?
The BGA-3000 is a BABY-G series. Casio Japan’s product page identifies the BGA-3000C-2AJF as a BABY-G model, correcting the “G-Shock” label used in the announcement headline. The reported Japanese lineup comprises five variants, but one news report repeats BGA-3000-5A in its written list. That inconsistency means the five-model count is reported, while the exact full variant list should not be treated as independently verified.
The report names BGA-3000-2A, BGA-3000-5A, BGA-3000-7A, BGA-3000C-2A, and BGA-3000CG-5A. Casio’s official page reviewed here is specifically for the BGA-3000C-2AJF, a composite-band model. The suffix differs from the report’s BGA-3000C-2A, so the Japanese product-page specifications below apply to the listed -2AJF model, not automatically to every colorway or regional version. Notebookcheck’s 2026 report gives the lineup and Japan preorder prices; Casio Japan’s BGA-3000C-2AJF listing provides the model-specific details.

Band construction is the key distinction in the reported weight comparison. Notebookcheck reports 32 g for the three resin-band versions and around 50 g for the two composite-band versions. The official Casio Japan listing independently gives 50 g for the BGA-3000C-2AJF and dimensions of 40.8 × 36.1 × 11.2 mm. Do not assume those dimensions apply to every variant: the reviewed official specification is for that one model.

What features do they offer?
Tough Solar charging
Tough Solar uses light to generate power for the watch’s functions, according to Casio’s US feature guide. Casio Japan estimates the BGA-3000C-2AJF will run for approximately eight months after a full charge without further solar generation when functions are used, or approximately 20 months in power-saving mode. These are manufacturer estimates, not a guarantee of runtime under every use pattern.
Multiband 6 time calibration
Multiband 6 lets compatible watches receive standard-time radio signals to correct the displayed time. Casio says the network covers transmitters in Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and China; the six-station network includes two stations in Japan. Reception depends on the watch being able to receive a signal, so the feature should not be read as universal automatic correction in every location or indoor setting. Casio explains the technology in its Multiband 6 guide and G-SHOCK technology overview.
Timekeeping, alarms, and water resistance
For the BGA-3000C-2AJF, Casio Japan lists world time covering 48 cities across 31 time zones, a stopwatch measuring to 1/100 second, a 60-minute countdown timer, an alarm, LED illumination, and a full automatic calendar. It also lists shock resistance and 10 bar water resistance. The 10 bar rating is a product specification, not by itself a promise that every water activity is suitable; follow Casio’s guidance for the intended use.
What are the reported Japanese prices?
Notebookcheck reported these Japan preorder prices in 2026. They are Japan-market figures, not confirmed global pricing or a statement of current retail availability.
| Reported variant group | Band | Reported mass | Reported Japan preorder price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Three resin-band variants (individual variant list contains a duplication) | Resin | 32 g | ¥33,000 |
| BGA-3000C-2A | Composite | About 50 g | ¥39,050 |
| BGA-3000CG-5A | Composite | About 50 g | ¥42,350 |
For the specifically listed BGA-3000C-2AJF, Casio Japan gives a suggested retail price of ¥39,050 including tax. This is an official Japanese price for that model; it does not establish pricing in other countries. The report’s duplicate model name also makes its five-variant breakdown less certain than the price grouping suggests.
