Cash App’s Debit Flex Card agreement states a minimum ATM and point-of-sale withdrawal limit of $1,000 per week, but your personal limit may be higher. Check Profile > Limits in the app for the amount that applies to your account. An ATM operator may set a lower limit. If by “withdraw” you mean moving your Cash App balance to a bank, standard transfers are free and typically take one to three business days; eligible instant transfers usually arrive within minutes and have a fee.
What “withdraw” means in Cash App
Cash App uses “withdraw” for two different ways of accessing your balance. One gives you physical cash through a Cash App Card at an ATM or point-of-sale terminal; the other transfers money from your Cash App balance to a linked bank account. Their limits, costs, and timing are different.

How much cash you can take out at an ATM
Cash App’s 2026 Debit Flex Card agreement states a minimum ATM and point-of-sale withdrawal limit of $1,000 per week. That is a published minimum, not a guarantee that every customer has exactly that limit: Cash App says an individual’s actual limit may be higher. The agreement directs users to the app’s Limits section for their applicable amount. (Cash App Debit Flex Card Agreement)
Even when your Cash App limit allows a withdrawal, the ATM can cap how much it dispenses in one transaction. That terminal limit may be lower than your remaining Cash App allowance. You may need to make another withdrawal, subject to the ATM’s rules and any applicable fees.

Check your account’s card limit
- Open Cash App and tap your profile icon.
- Open Limits to view the limits that apply to your account.
- Before withdrawing, check the amount available and the ATM’s displayed transaction limit.
Cash App’s earlier 2021 prepaid card agreement also described $1,000 per week as a minimum and said actual limits could be higher. The current agreement and the in-app Limits section are the relevant places to check for your account. (Cash App Prepaid Card Program Agreement)
ATM fees
Cash App’s prepaid card agreement lists a $2.50 fee per ATM withdrawal, subject to the agreement’s terms and possible waivers. The ATM operator may add a separate charge. Because fees and waiver eligibility can change or depend on your account, check Cash App’s current fee information and review the ATM’s screen before accepting a withdrawal. - Double check if the URL/website is genuine before entering card details online. Do not provide any gift card details (example: claim code) to someone you do not know or trust. There are a variety of scams in which fraudsters try to trick others into paying with gift cards.
- If you believe that your Card has been lost or stolen, notify Mastercard immediately by calling 1-833-791-7288. You will be asked to provide the Gift Card number and other identifying information.
- Use your Mastercard Gift Card in the U.S. everywhere Mastercard debit cards are accepted, including online. Your Amazon.com Balance cannot be used to purchase Mastercard gift cards.
How much you can transfer to a bank
A bank transfer is not an ATM withdrawal: it moves money out of your Cash App balance to a linked account. Cash App’s Terms of Service say it may limit or delay transfers depending on circumstances, so the published timing is typical rather than guaranteed. (Cash App US Terms of Service)

Standard transfer
Standard transfers to a linked bank are free and typically arrive within one to three business days. Business days do not include weekends or bank holidays, and Cash App says transfers can be limited or delayed. (How to Send and Receive Money on Cash App; Cash App US Terms of Service)
Instant transfer
Eligible instant transfers are typically available within minutes, but Cash App charges a fee. Its 2026 Terms of Service list an instant-transfer fee range of 0.5%–2.5%, with a $0.25–$1 minimum and a $75 maximum; the applicable charge is disclosed in the transaction experience. Transfer money in the app
- Open the Money tab.
- Select Withdraw and enter an amount.
- Choose Standard or Instant.
- Select the linked bank account, review any fee and the displayed timing, then confirm.

- Your card limit is account-specific. The $1,000 weekly figure in the card agreement is a minimum, and your account’s actual limit may be higher. The app’s Limits section shows your applicable figure.
- An ATM can set its own lower cap. A terminal’s per-transaction limit can prevent you from taking the full amount at once.
- Transfers can be limited or delayed. Cash App reserves the ability to restrict or delay transfers, and the stated delivery times are typical estimates.
- ATM charges can come from two parties. Cash App’s listed withdrawal fee and any ATM operator surcharge are separate.
What does not count as a withdrawal
Adding paper money to your Cash App balance is a deposit, not a withdrawal. Cash App says a $1 paper-money deposit fee applies to all customers beginning June 29, 2026, including eligible Cash App Green customers. That fee does not describe taking money out. (Cash App US Terms of Service)
