Vegas named Carter Hart its starting goaltender for the home game against Anaheim on October 2, 2026. The game is over: the Ducks won 4–3, and Hart allowed four goals on 20 shots, according to his CBS Sports player log.
Hart was Vegas’ announced starter against Anaheim
A CBS Sports report from RotoWire on October 2 said Hart would start in goal for Vegas against the Ducks. The report attributed the starter information to Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Danny Webster; it was not a direct quote from Hart or a coach. Read the CBS Sports/RotoWire report.

Hart allowed four goals on 20 shots as Anaheim beat Vegas 4–3, per his CBS Sports player log. A CBS Sports team-page snapshot showed a 4–2 score during the third period, but that was a live-game state, not the final result. The completed player log records the 4–3 Ducks win.

The October 2 report said Hart had opened the season with a 5–2 Vegas win over Chicago on September 29, allowing two goals on 26 shots. Those figures describe that specific game, not a season-long average.

For the preceding season’s playoffs, the same report listed Hart at 4–2–0 in six starts against Anaheim, with a 1.99 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage. These are playoff figures from that earlier season, not his result in the October 2, 2026 game.
