The Canon PIXMA TS9560a is an A3-capable inkjet all-in-one aimed at home offices and craft users who need more than standard A4 printing. Its 20-sheet automatic document feeder, automatic duplex printing and broad connectivity make it versatile on paper; the main buying questions are whether you will use A3 media, whether its cartridge costs suit your workload, and whether you can accommodate its setup clearances. Canon lists a $279 Australian RRP for the black model, but that is not a verified retailer price.
What is the Canon PIXMA TS9560a?
The TS9560a combines printing, copying and scanning, with a maximum print size of A3. Canon Australia positions it for home-office and home-crafting use. The A3 capability is the central reason to consider it over a printer limited to A4: it can handle larger documents and creative projects, while its rear tray also supports smaller photo and square formats.
Canon’s Australian listing specifies a maximum print resolution of 4800 × 1200 dpi. That is a manufacturer specification, not an independent assessment of the printer’s output quality.
What can it print, and how fast?
Canon lists document speeds of 15 images per minute (ipm) for black and 10 ipm for colour. These are manufacturer figures, not independently measured results. Canon notes that actual speeds vary with configuration, interface, software, document complexity, print mode, coverage and paper.

For paper loading, the printer has a cassette that holds up to 100 A4 sheets and a rear input that holds up to 100 A4 sheets. The rear tray capacity is up to 50 A3 sheets. The rear tray also accommodates a range of smaller media, including photo and square formats. These capacities refer to Canon’s stated sheet counts; media type and size affect which input is suitable.
How useful are its scanner and ADF?
The 20-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) is useful when scanning or copying a small batch of loose pages: you can feed multiple sheets rather than placing each one on the scanner individually. It is a modest-capacity feeder, so larger batches still require multiple loads. Canon lists scanning and copying as core functions, but the available specifications do not establish independent scan-speed or image-quality results.

Connectivity and controls
Canon lists Wi-Fi, Wireless Direct, USB-B, wired LAN and memory-card slots. The 4.3-inch colour touchscreen provides printer-side controls. This mix gives buyers several ways to connect, from a networked home-office setup to a direct USB connection; confirm that the connection you intend to use is supported by your computer or device and network.

Ink, price and running costs
Canon Australia lists a $279 RRP for the black TS9560a and directs buyers to retailers for actual prices. Treat the RRP as a manufacturer-listed reference, not a guaranteed current street price.

The printer uses Canon PGI-680 black and CLI-681 colour cartridges. Canon lists standard and larger-capacity options, including XL and XXL variants for some cartridges. The available information does not establish cartridge yields or a cost per page, so it is not possible to make a reliable running-cost estimate from the cartridge names alone. Before buying, check the current Australian prices and yields for the exact cartridge sizes you expect to use, then compare them against your print volume and mix of black, colour and photo work.
Space and setup
Canon’s setup guide calls for 40 cm of clearance in front of the printer and 25 cm behind it so the paper support and output tray can open. Measure the intended location with those clearances in mind, rather than checking only the printer’s footprint. Canon Australia’s support page provides manuals, drivers, software and firmware for the TS9500a series; consult it for current downloads and setup documentation.

Who should consider the TS9560a?
It makes sense if you need A3 or craft-media flexibility
Its larger-paper support is valuable for people who regularly print A3 documents or use compatible photo and craft media. Canon specifically names Restickable Photo Paper and Magnetic Photo Paper as creative-media options. Check the paper’s size and compatibility before purchase.

If your work is mostly ordinary A4 documents and you do not use the ADF, the printer’s defining capabilities may not justify choosing this model. A smaller-format alternative could suit that workload, but the available specifications do not establish a direct performance or value comparison with any particular competing printer.

Verdict
The Canon PIXMA TS9560a is a feature-rich home-office and craft printer whose clearest advantage is A3 printing paired with a 20-sheet ADF and flexible connectivity. It is best suited to buyers who will put those features to use. Check actual retailer pricing, cartridge costs for your expected workload and the required setup space before committing; independent evidence for real-world output quality, speed, ink yield, noise and long-term reliability is not established here.
