The Canon PIXMA G3670 is a home MegaTank all-in-one that prints, copies and scans, using refillable GI-61 ink bottles rather than conventional cartridges. Canon Australia lists Wi-Fi, USB-B and mobile-printing support, along with rated speeds of 11 images per minute in black and 6 in colour. Those figures and its high page-yield estimates are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. Whether it suits you depends especially on your need for an automatic document feeder, duplex printing or fax—features not established in the cited specifications.
What is the Canon PIXMA G3670?
Canon Australia positions the G3670 as a home 3-in-1 MegaTank printer. Its listed functions are print, copy and scan; fax is not listed on the cited product page. The product page lists Wi-Fi, camera direct and USB-B connections. Canon also identifies Canon PRINT, Apple AirPrint and Mopria support. These options cover common home computer and mobile workflows, but the listing alone does not establish how well the printer performs in a particular network setup.
How fast does it print?
Canon rates the G3670 at 11 images per minute (ipm) for black documents and 6 ipm for colour. These are the manufacturer’s stated speeds, not results from an independent test. Actual job time can differ with document content, settings, connection and the time required for the printer to prepare a job.

The maximum resolution of 4800 × 1200 dpi is also a specification, not a verdict on text or photo quality. No direct independent hands-on test of the Australian G3670 is established here, so there is no substantiated basis to describe its real-world print quality, noise, setup experience or reliability as tested.
What ink does the G3670 use, and what do the yield figures mean?
The G3670 uses Canon GI-61 bottles: GI-61BK black, GI-61C cyan, GI-61M magenta and GI-61Y yellow. Canon estimates up to 6,000 black pages and 7,700 colour pages on its Australian materials. These are manufacturer estimates, not guaranteed household yields. Canon says they are based on its individual method, the ISO/IEC 24712 colour chart and continuous-printing simulation using replacement bottles after initial setup. The initial supplied ink yields fewer pages because some ink is used to fill the print head, and actual yield varies substantially with page content and other factors. Those page estimates do not by themselves establish a cost per page. A useful cost comparison needs current local bottle prices and a workload that reflects the pages you expect to print. Canon also states that ink must be available in every tank for all functions, including copying and scanning; check the current product information or manual before relying on the printer when a tank is empty.

Canon lists a 100-sheet plain-paper capacity and space for 20 sheets of 4 × 6-inch photo paper. Supported sizes include A4, A5, A6, B5, Letter and Legal, as well as photo sizes. Named photo-paper types include Photo Paper Plus Glossy II, Photo Paper Plus Semi-gloss, Photo Paper Glossy and Matte Photo Paper. Check the current regional manual for media-weight limits and any borderless-printing restrictions before choosing specialty paper.

An automatic document feeder (ADF) and automatic duplex printing are not established in the cited specifications. If you regularly scan multi-page documents or need routine double-sided printing, confirm those features in the current Australian manual or listing before buying; do not assume that a feature on a related model is present on the G3670.
Maintenance and ownership details
Canon lists the MC-G04 as a user-replaceable maintenance cartridge and explicitly names the G3670 as compatible. The cited page does not state a replacement interval or expected service life, so this confirms that a replacement part is available—not when you will need one. Canon Australia displayed an RRP of AUD $369 on its product page when accessed in 2026, while noting that products are sold through retailers and retail prices vary. Treat that as a dated manufacturer-listed RRP, not a current street-price quote; check Australian retailers for today’s price.
Is the Canon G3670 worth buying?
The G3670 is worth considering if you want a home printer with refillable tanks, copy and scan functions, Wi-Fi and support for common mobile-printing services. Its GI-61 bottle system and Canon’s estimated yields make it particularly relevant to buyers comparing ongoing ink use, but the estimates should not be mistaken for a guaranteed yield or a complete cost calculation.

Before choosing it, match its workflow to yours: verify ADF, duplex and fax requirements against the current Australian manual, compare the actual purchase price and replacement-bottle prices, and look for independent print-quality evidence if output quality is decisive. The available figures support a specification-led assessment, not a hands-on verdict about print quality or long-term reliability.
