Compare your PC with the requirements currently listed on Steam: the minimum calls for Windows 11 (64-bit), an Intel Core i5-8400, 16 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 1650, DirectX 11, and 10 GB of available storage. Steam’s recommended tier raises the CPU to an Intel Core i5-10400 and the GPU to a GeForce RTX 3060. Check every category separately; a stronger graphics card does not erase a shortfall in Windows, processor, or memory.
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse PC requirements
Steam lists these specifications for the PC version. They are the published minimum and recommended baselines, not benchmark results or a promise of a particular frame rate. Steam’s listing does not state a PC frame-rate target.

- Check Windows and system type. In Windows, open Settings > System > About. Under Device specifications, check the processor and installed RAM; under Windows specifications, check the edition. Look for a 64-bit operating system in the system type details. The listed minimum specifies Windows 11, 64-bit.
- Compare your processor. In the same About page, note the processor model. Compare it with the Core i5-8400 minimum or the Core i5-10400 recommended processor. A model number alone is not a complete measure of performance across different processor families; use the listed model as the reference rather than assuming that any newer-sounding CPU qualifies.
- Check installed RAM. Confirm that Windows reports at least 16 GB installed. The recommended tier also lists 16 GB; it does not specify more memory than the minimum tier.
- Identify your graphics card. Open Task Manager > Performance and select each GPU entry, or open Device Manager > Display adapters. Compare the actual NVIDIA model with the GTX 1650 minimum or RTX 3060 recommended. If your PC has more than one graphics adapter, check which one games use; the listing does not provide equivalent AMD or integrated-graphics models.
- Check DirectX support. Press Windows key + R, enter
dxdiag, and press Enter. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool shows the installed DirectX version on its System tab. Also check the GPU’s supported features: the Steam requirement specifies DirectX 11, and an installed DirectX version by itself does not establish that every hardware component supports the required features. - Check free space on the intended drive. Open File Explorer > This PC and confirm that the drive where you plan to install has at least 10 GB available. Steam specifies 10 GB available space for both PC tiers.
How to interpret the comparison
- At or above every minimum: Your components meet the published minimum baseline. That is not a guarantee of a particular frame rate or experience.
- At or above every recommended specification: Your PC meets the higher target Steam publishes. The listing still does not promise a specific frame rate.
- Below a listed minimum in any category: Your PC does not meet the full published minimum. The listing does not establish whether the game will run on below-minimum hardware.
- Unsure about a different CPU or GPU: The requirements name Intel and NVIDIA models and do not identify direct AMD or integrated-graphics equivalents. Avoid treating a component as equivalent based only on its brand, generation, or memory figure.
Windows 11, release date, and storage caveats
Windows 11 is part of the listed baseline
Steam specifies Windows 11 for both tiers. An older Windows version does not match the published requirement; the listing does not say whether the game will run on it.

Release date and PC availability
KONAMI’s official product page lists October 15, 2026 as the release date and includes Steam and Xbox on PC among the supported platforms. Steam currently displays October 14, 2026, a one-day discrepancy between the listings. Check the relevant store for current availability.
Do not mix PC storage with other edition figures
Steam lists 10 GB of available space for its PC requirements. KONAMI’s product page separately lists capacity by edition and platform: 8 GB for the standard edition and 10 GB for the Midnight Edition; for Nintendo Switch, it lists 4 GB for standard and 6 GB for Midnight. Those figures are not interchangeable PC requirements.

Platform frame-rate note
KONAMI states a listed frame rate of 60 fps, with the Nintendo Switch version at 30 fps. Steam’s PC requirements do not state a PC frame-rate target, so KONAMI’s platform statement cannot predict performance on a particular PC.
What kind of game is Belmont’s Curse?
KONAMI describes Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse as a 2D action-exploration game set in Paris in 1499, starring Rose Belmont. Its official materials describe whip-based movement, bosses that become Arcana abilities, and customizable weapons and relics; Steam identifies it as single-player.
