Yes—some Mellif tools are specified to work with Makita 18V batteries, but compatibility depends on the exact Mellif model. Mellif’s compatible-tool collection says its products are designed for Makita 18V batteries, and a specific Mellif drill listing names BL1815, BL1830, and BL1850 batteries as examples. Those are Mellif’s compatibility claims, not independent testing of every tool-and-battery pairing.
Which Mellif tools accept Makita 18V batteries?
Mellif’s Makita 18V-compatible collection groups products under that battery platform and says users can reuse existing BL batteries. Its catalog count is subject to change. Check the individual tool page rather than assuming every Mellif product accepts Makita batteries.
For one concrete example, Mellif’s cordless drill listing says the drill fits Makita 18V batteries and names BL1815, BL1830, and BL1850. That supports compatibility for the listed drill; it does not establish that those packs fit every Mellif tool.
What to check before using a battery
- Exact tool model: Look for an explicit Makita 18V compatibility statement in that model’s current product information or instructions.
- Battery designation: Compare the battery model number with the models the tool documentation names.
- Battery protection: The cited Mellif drill listing says its low-voltage protection stops operation below 14.4V. Treat that as a feature of that drill only, not a specification for all Mellif tools.
- Pack inclusion: Confirm whether the tool is sold with a battery or whether you need to supply one.
Does a Mellif battery charge on a Makita charger?
Not necessarily. Battery fit in a tool and charger compatibility are separate questions. Mellif’s replacement-battery listing describes a Mellif 18V 4.0Ah pack as compatible with Mellif and Makita 18V tools, but says the included charger cannot charge original Makita batteries and that the Mellif battery cannot be charged with an original Makita charger. Verify the current regional product instructions before charging; those statements come from a Mellif vendor listing whose labeling was inconsistent.

Use the charger specified for the battery you are charging. Do not infer that a battery can be charged on a brand’s charger simply because it can power a tool from that brand.
Does Makita’s 36V battery adapter change the answer?
No. Makita’s BCV03 adapter information describes a Makita-specific setup: the adapter accepts two 18V LXT batteries for select Makita 36V tools. It does not establish cross-brand compatibility with Mellif tools.
