As of October 4, 2026, SEGA and ATLUS have not announced a way to transfer Persona 4 Golden save data to Persona 4 Revival. The games’ relationship as original and remake does not confirm save compatibility. Keep your Golden save intact and wait for an explicit announcement before trying to move or import anything.
Can you transfer a Persona 4 Golden save to Persona 4 Revival?
There is currently no confirmed transfer feature or procedure in the official materials reviewed. SEGA calls Revival a remake of Persona 4 Golden, describing updated graphics, UI, combat, and cutscenes; it does not say that the remake can read an existing Golden save. SEGA’s announcement establishes the remake relationship, not save-file compatibility.

This means there are no confirmed instructions, supported source platforms, account requirements, or transfer window to follow. That is not proof that importing saves will never be possible; it means the publisher has not described the feature in the materials currently available.
Will progress from Vita, PC, PlayStation, Xbox, or Switch carry over?
Official information reviewed does not specify whether saves from any particular Persona 4 Golden version can be imported. It does not confirm support for PS Vita, PC, PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch saves. Do not assume that cloud storage, a copied file, an account link, or another platform’s save-transfer feature will work with Revival.

What is known about Persona 4 Revival’s release?
SEGA announced a February 18, 2027 release for Xbox Series X|S, Windows, Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation 5, and Steam. It later announced the Nintendo Switch 2 version for May 20, 2027. These dates are future dates as of October 4, 2026. The official Persona 4 Revival site lists both dates. Regional availability and product details can change before release.
SEGA has announced physical copies for PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Its Japanese product information also lists a Standard Edition and collector editions, including a Limited Box and an Izanagi figure edition. Those editions are products for playing or collecting; none is described as a way to transfer Golden save data.

What should you do with your existing save?
- Keep your Persona 4 Golden save and any backups where they are; do not overwrite or delete them in anticipation of a transfer.
- Do not follow unofficial file-moving instructions or buy accessories on the assumption they enable an import. No reviewed source establishes that such methods work with Revival.
- Check official SEGA or ATLUS announcements closer to release for a confirmed feature and platform-specific instructions.
If SEGA announces importing later, the useful details to verify will include which Golden platforms are supported, which Revival platforms accept a save, and whether the process has account, version, or one-time-use requirements. None of those details is confirmed now.
