You can’t add a name to Artemis II now: NASA’s name-registration deadline was January 21, 2026, and the mission has already flown. If you registered before the deadline, use NASA’s official page and the PIN you created to look up your registration and download its digital boarding pass.
Can you still add your name to Artemis II?
No. NASA’s free “Send Your Name with Artemis II” registration closed on January 21, 2026. Artemis II launched on April 1 and returned to Earth on April 10, 2026, so the flight is complete and new names cannot be added.
If you registered before the deadline, go to NASA’s Artemis II name-registration page. Use the name and PIN you entered to look up your registration and retrieve the boarding pass. NASA said it could not recover a lost PIN.

Before the deadline, participants could register at no cost. The process was a digital keepsake and a way to have a name included with the mission—not a physical object or a person traveling to the Moon.

What happened to Artemis II?
Artemis II was the first crewed flight in NASA’s Artemis campaign and a crewed lunar-flyby test mission. NASA’s mission record lists a duration of 9 days, 1 hour and 32 minutes. The mission launched on April 1, 2026, and splashed down on April 10.

NASA reported that the Space Launch System (SLS) lifted Orion and its four-person crew from Kennedy Space Center at 6:35 p.m. EDT on April 1. The crew—NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch, and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen—flew around the Moon and returned to Earth. NASA reported splashdown at 5:07 p.m. PDT on April 10, after a 10-day journey around the Moon and back.
What to do if you missed the deadline
There is no way to add a name to the completed Artemis II flight. Be cautious of any product or unofficial offer claiming that a purchase can put your name aboard that mission; NASA’s program was the free registration described above. If NASA announces a name-registration opportunity for a future mission, follow the official NASA announcement and its stated deadline.
