No. The Samsung Galaxy S25 reservation campaign tied to the January 22, 2025 Galaxy Unpacked event has ended. A January 6, 2025 report from Tom’s Guide described the promotion as a way to register before preorders opened, but those credits and the gift-card drawing were specific to that launch campaign and are not current offers.
What the reservation campaign was
Samsung scheduled Galaxy Unpacked for Wednesday, January 22, 2025, in San Jose, California. The reported livestream time was 1 p.m. ET, 10 a.m. PT, and 6 p.m. GMT. Samsung’s invitation referred to “the new Galaxy S series,” which Tom’s Guide connected to the expected Galaxy S25 family.
People could register through Samsung’s website or the Shop Samsung app. Registration preceded the preorder period; it was not the same as buying or guaranteeing a phone.

| Reported benefit | How it worked | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| $50 Samsung credit | Applied toward a Samsung device when preorders began. | Reported by Tom’s Guide as a Samsung promotion in January 2025; not a current offer. |
| Entry in a $5,000 Samsung gift-card drawing | Registration entered the participant in the drawing. | A prize drawing, not a guaranteed credit; reported historical terms. |
| $300 instant credit | Available when a reserved device was subsequently preordered. | Dependent on completing both reservation and preorder under the campaign rules. |
| Up to $900 trade-in credit | Based on the device traded in. | The amount depended on the trade-in model and condition. |
These figures were promotional amounts reported at the time, not permanent Galaxy S25 discounts or independent market statistics.

Which phones were expected
The report expected three models:
- Galaxy S25
- Galaxy S25 Plus
- Galaxy S25 Ultra
Because those details were prelaunch expectations, they should not be treated as a substitute for the products’ confirmed specifications or current configurations.
What to do if you want a Galaxy S25 now
- Check Samsung’s current store listing. Confirm that the exact model, storage configuration, color, and unlocked or carrier version you want is available.
- Review the live price and checkout terms. The January 2025 reservation credits cannot be assumed to apply to a later purchase.
- Calculate any trade-in separately. Current value depends on Samsung’s active offer, the device you submit, and its condition; the historical “up to $900” figure is not a guaranteed valuation.
- Compare current retailer and carrier offers. Availability, financing, and incentives may differ by country, carrier, and sales channel.
Why the date matters
January 22, 2025 is in the past, so searches that still display “reserve offer” language may be showing archived launch coverage. The inspected source does not establish a current Galaxy S25 price, inventory position, trade-in quote, or replacement reservation promotion. Verify those items directly before ordering.

The Bottom Line
The January 2025 reservation promotion is over. It reportedly included a $50 preorder credit, entry into a $5,000 gift-card drawing, a $300 reservation-and-preorder credit, and trade-in value of up to $900, but none of those historical amounts should be treated as available today.
