Google announced three-month Amazon Luna+ and NVIDIA GeForce NOW RTX 3080 trials for new cloud-gaming Chromebooks in October 2022. Those were launch offers, not a standing perk: the Google Chromebook Perks page reviewed for this article showed “No perks found,” so current access to either trial is unverified. Check the Perks page on your own Chromebook and rely only on the terms shown there.
What the 2022 Chromebook offer included
Google’s October 2022 announcement said new cloud-gaming Chromebooks came with a three-month trial of Amazon Luna+ and a three-month trial of NVIDIA GeForce NOW’s RTX 3080 tier. Google directed owners to visit Chromebook Perks on the new device for offer details. The same announcement said the supported services gave users access to more than 1,500 PC and console games, and cited nearly 200 games available on Chromebook at no cost. Those are Google’s figures from 2022, not current catalog counts. The announcement named Acer Chromebook 516 GE, ASUS Chromebook Vibe CX55 Flip and Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook as examples of the new category; those examples do not guarantee eligibility for any present-day promotion.
How to check and redeem Chromebook Perks
Google’s Perks page displayed “No perks found” when reviewed, and did not show live terms for the Luna+ or RTX 3080 trials. Offers can vary, so the definitive check is the Perks page available on your own Chromebook. Google Chromebook Perks

- Sign in to your Chromebook with the Google Account you intend to use for redemption.
- Open Chromebook Perks on the device and look for an offer. If one appears, select “Get perk.”
- Read that offer’s eligibility, redemption limit, region and subscription terms before claiming it. Do not assume a past promotion’s trial length or billing terms apply.
Google says ChromeOS 86 or later is required for perks. You must be signed in; redemption does not work in Guest or incognito mode. Limits depend on the individual offer: a perk may be redeemable once per device or once per Google Account. The redeemed offer is tied to the Google Account used, and a previous redemption on the device or account can prevent another claim. Do not confuse the 2022 trials with later GeForce NOW offers
Google announced separate GeForce NOW promotions after the Luna+ and RTX 3080 Chromebook launch offer. They are not evidence that the 2022 trials remain redeemable.

What to check before choosing a cloud-gaming setup
If an offer appears, compare its terms with how you plan to play. The 2022 promotion’s post-trial billing terms are not established by the announcement, so look for those in the live offer details before redeeming. Also check:

- Which service and membership tier the offer covers, and whether it is actually available for your account and region.
- Whether the service supports the games or linked game-store accounts you use, and any session or monthly play-time limits.
- Supported resolution, frame rate, Chromebook compatibility and controller options.
- Whether a paid subscription starts after the trial and what cancellation steps apply.
NVIDIA’s current system requirements page lists browser support for Chromebook. It says GeForce NOW Ultimate membership is required for 1600p resolution and 120 FPS streaming on Chromebook. NVIDIA lists Xbox and Sony PlayStation controller families among supported gamepads, and recommends sufficient network speed and latency below 80 ms to an NVIDIA data center. A compatible controller is optional, and Chromebook models and controller compatibility vary. Check the specific device and controller requirements before buying accessories; neither a Chromebook nor an accessory guarantees access to a past promotion.
