Not as a wallet-to-wallet payment: you can’t add Samsung Pay to Apple Pay or use Samsung Pay itself as a payment method in Apple Wallet. But in the United States, Samsung Wallet’s Tap to Transfer feature may let a Samsung user send money to an eligible debit card in the recipient’s Apple Wallet. The money goes to the bank account tied to that card—not necessarily to Apple Cash.
What do you mean by “Samsung Pay to Apple Pay”?

Apple Pay and Samsung Wallet are separate services. Apple says Apple Pay purchases use eligible cards from participating issuers, and in stores the merchant must accept the card network and support NFC contactless payments. See Apple’s guide to making purchases with Apple Pay.
How Samsung Wallet Tap to Transfer works
Tap to Transfer is an in-person debit-card transfer, not a Samsung Pay purchase routed through Apple Pay. Samsung says the money goes to the bank account associated with the recipient’s eligible debit card. Its US overview lists transfers to eligible Mastercard or Visa debit cards in Samsung Wallet, Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or a physical contactless debit card. Eligibility depends on the card and issuer; not every debit-like, prepaid, or rewards card qualifies.
For a recipient using a different wallet service, Samsung says they must open that wallet and approve the transfer. The Apple Wallet route is an in-person tap flow; Samsung describes remote transfers for recipients who also use Samsung Wallet. The feature is US-only, and receiving-bank processing can affect when funds become available.

Check eligibility before you try
- Sender: Samsung’s US support article lists a Galaxy phone running Android Q or newer, a Samsung Wallet account with a registered Mastercard debit card, and Samsung Wallet set as the default NFC/contactless payment service.
- Recipient: A registered debit card in a supported wallet service or a contactless debit card. If using Apple Wallet, open it to approve the transfer.
- Both devices: NFC must be enabled. Credit cards cannot be used.
Samsung’s overview gives a different minimum: eligible Samsung Wallet devices running Android 12 or higher. Because the overview and support article do not match, don’t assume that the lower Android Q threshold guarantees access. Check Tap to Transfer availability and the current requirements in Samsung Wallet on your device.
Send the transfer
- On the Samsung phone, open Samsung Wallet, select the registered debit card, and choose Tap to Transfer.
- Enter the amount and confirm that the recipient intends to receive the money on the correct eligible debit card.
- Tap the Samsung phone to the recipient’s phone. If they use Apple Wallet, they should have the wallet open and approve the transaction.
Samsung warns that a sent transfer cannot be canceled, so verify the recipient and amount before tapping.

Published fees and limits
Samsung’s US product page lists a sender fee of 1.75%, with a $0.25 minimum. Its support page lists the limits below. Samsung says limits can change without notice; check the current in-app terms before sending.

Why Apple Cash is not the same as Apple Pay
Apple Pay is Apple’s payment service for purchases in stores, apps, and online. Apple Cash is a separate US service for sending and receiving money and holding a balance in Wallet. Samsung’s Tap to Transfer documentation says certain cards, including Apple Cash, may not be eligible to receive transfers. So a transfer to an eligible debit card in Apple Wallet does not mean the money will appear in the recipient’s Apple Cash balance. What to do if the transfer option is missing or fails
- Tap to Transfer is unavailable: Check the current feature requirements in Samsung Wallet, including device eligibility, Android version, registered card, default contactless service, and NFC.
- The recipient cannot approve: Ask them to open the wallet app and confirm that the selected debit card is eligible. An Apple Cash balance is not a substitute for an eligible receiving debit card.
- The card is rejected: Eligibility depends on the issuer; a card that appears as debit, including some prepaid or rewards cards, may still be excluded.
- The money has not arrived: Samsung says availability can depend on the receiving financial institution. Check the transfer status and contact the relevant bank or Samsung support if needed.
