Yes, some PlayStation games can be played on a PC—but only when that specific game has an official PC release, or is included in a supported PlayStation Plus PC streaming catalog. A PC version is a separate release, not a way to install any PS5 game on a computer or automatically transfer your console purchase or saves.
How PlayStation games get to PC
There are two distinct routes: buy a native PC version of a game, or stream an eligible game through PlayStation Plus Premium. Neither makes the full PS5 game library available to a PC.
Buy an official PC version
Some PlayStation Studios games have PC releases. PlayStation’s PC games page lists titles such as Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, God of War Ragnarök, and Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, and identifies Steam and the Epic Games Store as digital retailers. The catalog changes, so look up the exact game on the official page and storefront before buying.
A PC release is its own PC version and purchase. Owning the PS5 edition does not, by itself, provide the PC edition. The PC version may also have its own system requirements and features; check its current store listing for details.

Stream eligible games with PlayStation Plus Premium
PlayStation’s PC app can stream supported PS4 Game Catalog titles and select Classics Catalog games for eligible PlayStation Plus Premium members. This is a subscription streaming option, not a PC port, and it should not be confused with streaming PS5 game builds to a PC. The available games, countries, requirements, and membership terms can change. Check PlayStation’s current PlayStation Plus PC support page and game finder for your region.
Check these details before choosing a game
- Find the exact title. Check whether it has an official PC release, or whether it appears in the eligible PC streaming catalog. A PS5 release alone does not establish either option.
- Choose local play or streaming. A PC port runs as a PC game; Premium streaming runs an eligible catalog game through the PlayStation PC app. They are different products and access routes.
- Confirm the current listing and requirements. Check the relevant PC storefront for purchase availability and hardware requirements, or PlayStation’s support information for streaming eligibility in your country.
- Plan your controls. PlayStation says its PlayStation Studios PC games support input options including mouse and keyboard, DualShock 4, DualSense, and other controllers. DualSense is optional, not a prerequisite; check the individual game listing for specifics. See PlayStation’s PC games and controllers support page.
- Keep saves in mind. PlayStation says save data cannot currently be transferred between console and PC versions of PlayStation Studios games. Do not assume your PS5 progress will carry over.
What this means for your PS5 library
There is no general method here for making any PS5 game run natively on a PC. The practical answer is title-specific: buy a PC version when one is officially available, use Premium streaming only for eligible catalog games, or play the PS5 version on PlayStation hardware. Check the exact title and route before spending money or expecting your saves to follow.
