Don’t count on paying a T-Mobile postpaid bill at a Metro by T-Mobile store. T-Mobile and Metro publish separate payment routes for their accounts. If you need to pay in person, call the specific Metro store before you go; the carriers’ published guidance does not establish that Metro stores accept T-Mobile postpaid payments.
Why a Metro store may not be the right place to pay
T-Mobile’s payment instructions list T-Mobile channels, including its website, T-Life, bank bill pay, mail, T-Mobile retail stores, and Customer Care. Metro’s store-payment instructions are for Metro account bills. Neither set of instructions makes a Metro store a dependable payment counter for a T-Mobile postpaid account.
T-Mobile’s Guest Pay page detects some Metro numbers and directs customers to Metro Guest Pay. That is an online routing feature, not confirmation that Metro retail stores can process T-Mobile bills. If an in-person exception would matter to you, ask the exact store before traveling.
Ways to pay a T-Mobile bill
T-Mobile lists the following payment options for T-Mobile accounts. Check the live T-Mobile payment page for current instructions, available methods, and any fees before choosing a channel.

- Online or as a guest: Make a one-time payment through T-Mobile’s website. T-Mobile lists Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, bank account/ACH, T-Mobile MONEY debit card, and PayPal among online payment methods.
- T-Life: Pay through the T-Life app. T-Mobile lists the same payment-method categories for in-app payments.
- AutoPay: Set up recurring payments through T-Mobile.
- Bank bill pay: Use your bank’s bill-pay service and follow the current payee and account instructions from T-Mobile.
- Mail: T-Mobile lists the payment address as T-Mobile, P.O. Box 742596, Cincinnati, OH 45274-2596. Its payment page says to allow at least five days for a mailed payment to arrive. Check your account’s due date and the current mailing instructions so you can allow enough time.
- T-Mobile retail store: T-Mobile lists in-store payment and cash among the available options. Its page has described a $5 in-store support charge; confirm the current fee before paying.
- Customer Care: T-Mobile also lists phone payment through Customer Care. Its page has described a $10 support charge for this channel; verify the current terms before using it.
T-Mobile’s published fee wording and digital-payment offers can change. Confirm fees on the live support page before making a payment, especially if you choose an assisted channel.

If the account is Metro—not T-Mobile postpaid—use Metro’s payment options. Metro lists payment through myMetro or online, AutoPay, phone payment through Customer Care, and in-person payment at a Metro by T-Mobile store. See Metro’s payment instructions for current details.

Metro’s support information says AutoPay charges the preferred credit or debit card three days before the due date and may save up to $5 per account. Its support page says an in-store fee is due at payment but does not state the amount in the page text reviewed; a separate payment guide presents different fee details. Check Metro’s current instructions or ask the store for the applicable fee rather than relying on an assumed amount.

What to do if you are unsure which account you have
- Check the bill or account page for the service name: T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile.
- Use the matching carrier’s payment page or app. T-Mobile’s Guest Pay flow may redirect a recognized Metro number to Metro Guest Pay, as explained on the T-Mobile Guest Pay page.
- If you need to pay face-to-face, choose a store that the account’s carrier lists for payments. For a T-Mobile account, contact T-Mobile or a T-Mobile retail store; for a Metro account, contact a Metro store.
- If you are considering a different carrier’s store, call that specific location and confirm it can accept your exact account payment before you travel.
