For US online orders, Best Buy’s published payment options list Zip but do not list Afterpay. That means you should not expect to select Afterpay directly at BestBuy.com checkout. Best Buy documents Zip as an installment-payment option; check the terms and approval requirements shown during checkout before agreeing.
Does Best Buy accept Afterpay?
Best Buy’s US payment-options page lists payment methods including major credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Zip, and other options, but not Afterpay. The page is the relevant guide for BestBuy.com orders; the retailer’s in-store payment methods are listed separately. Since checkout options can change, confirm the methods displayed for your order.

Afterpay’s general US instructions explain how to shop with participating merchants: choose a store in Afterpay’s Shop Directory, select Afterpay at checkout, and complete sign-in or any required approval. Those instructions apply to participating stores generally; they do not establish that Best Buy participates.

Can you use an Afterpay Card at Best Buy?
Afterpay also describes an in-store route using an eligible Afterpay Card added to Apple Pay or Google Pay for a contactless payment. The cited instructions do not confirm that Best Buy accepts the Afterpay Card or that this route works at a particular Best Buy location. Do not assume that general Afterpay instructions guarantee acceptance at Best Buy.

How to use Zip for an online Best Buy order
Zip is the installment-payment option Best Buy specifically documents for online checkout. To try it:
- Add the items you want to your Best Buy cart and proceed to checkout.
- Under “Other Payment Options,” select Zip.
- Follow Zip’s prompts and review the plan’s terms and any applicable charges before accepting. Approval is required.
Best Buy’s Zip payment instructions describe this checkout process. The available offer and approval decision depend on the details presented to you, so rely on the terms shown during checkout rather than assuming a particular schedule or cost.

Payment limits and country differences
Best Buy US says an online order cannot use more than one credit or debit card, combine PayPal with a credit or debit card, or combine Apple Pay with a credit or debit card. Its payment-options page also notes a restriction on combining credit or debit cards with prepaid cards.

Afterpay account funding rules are not Best Buy acceptance
Afterpay’s US card and payment-method guidance says it accepts US-issued Visa and Mastercard credit or debit cards, Cash App Card, eligible US checking accounts, and some digital payment methods. It also says credit cards are accepted only for Pay in 4, not Pay Monthly. These are rules for funding an Afterpay account; they do not show that Best Buy accepts Afterpay.
