Not officially, according to a Windows Central report published October 8, 2026. Viewers spotted what appeared to be a new Microsoft wallpaper on RTX Spark laptops at a Windows and Surface event, but Microsoft had not shared an official image file by the time the report appeared. The report is available through World Programming Solutions.
What is the wallpaper, and where was it seen?
Sean Endicott of Windows Central reported that attendees noticed what appeared to be a new Microsoft wallpaper displayed on several RTX Spark laptops during the Windows and Surface event. The report does not establish that Microsoft formally announced or named the specific image, so it is best described as a wallpaper seen on the laptops rather than a confirmed new Windows release.
Can you download the official wallpaper?
At the time of the October 8, 2026 report, Microsoft had not shared the image as an official download. That is a publication-time status, not a guarantee about whether a file may become available later. The report does not identify an official download page or any other confirmed way to obtain the original.
What is the AI recreation?
After Zac Bowden shared a photo, X user @codejake posted a ChatGPT recreation and described it as “5K resolution,” according to the Windows Central report. Endicott said the recreation appeared to do a fair job, but its accuracy cannot be confirmed without comparing it with Microsoft’s original. Neither the resolution claim nor the visual match is an independently verified specification. Read the report’s account of the recreation.
