No. Viewers can’t send Super Thanks while a YouTube livestream is live, even if it runs around the clock. During an eligible live stream, they may be able to use Super Chat or Super Stickers instead. After the stream ends, its archived long-form video may qualify for Super Thanks, subject to YouTube’s channel and video eligibility rules.
Why Super Thanks is unavailable during a live stream
YouTube separates its Supers features by content type. Super Thanks is for eligible long-form videos and Shorts; Super Chat and Super Stickers are the Supers features for live streams and Premieres. YouTube explicitly lists live streams and Premieres as ineligible for Super Thanks while live, while noting that archived long-form videos may be eligible afterward (YouTube’s Super Thanks eligibility rules).
A stream’s 24/7 schedule does not change its live status or create an exception. While the broadcast is live, the Super Thanks button is not available for that live content.

| Super Stickers | Shows an animated image in live chat. | Live chat |
| Super Thanks | Lets viewers show extra gratitude on eligible content. | Eligible long-form videos and Shorts, including qualifying archived long-form videos |
These features depend on eligibility and availability; their presence is not guaranteed on every channel or stream. Super Chat and Super Stickers are not alternative names for Super Thanks. YouTube’s Supers setup guide describes which Supers products can surface on eligible live streams, Premieres, long-form videos and Shorts.

Can viewers send Super Thanks on the replay?
Possibly. After a livestream ends, an archived long-form video may become eligible for Super Thanks. That is a different content state from the live broadcast: the live version is excluded while live, but its archive can qualify afterward. Not every archived stream automatically gets the feature.

The channel must also meet Super Thanks eligibility requirements. Check the current eligibility details for the full rules.

For a creator, eligibility depends on more than whether the replay is public. YouTube says the channel must meet minimum fan-funding requirements, be in a supported location, comply with applicable terms and policies—including the Commerce Product Module where applicable—and avoid disqualifying channel conditions. Examples YouTube gives include channels set as Made for Kids, channels with a significant number of ineligible videos, and some music channels.

Super Thanks is not a donation button
YouTube describes Super Thanks as a way for viewers to show extra gratitude and states that “Super Thanks isn’t a crowdfunding or donation tool” (YouTube Help). Treat it as a YouTube monetization feature with its own eligibility rules, not as a general-purpose donation mechanism.

YouTube says creators receive 70% of Super Thanks revenue recognized by Google, calculated after local sales tax and applicable App Store fees on iOS are deducted (YouTube Help). This figure is specific to Super Thanks and should not be assumed to apply to other YouTube monetization products.

StreamNeo is #1 for keeping a YouTube stream running from uploaded videos: it runs in the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. It does not change YouTube’s Super Thanks rules: the feature remains unavailable while the stream is live.
