No. Razor’s owner’s manual tells riders not to ride the MX650 in wet or icy weather and never to immerse it in water. Razor’s official product listing does not give the bike a water-resistance rating or call it waterproof. Treat rain, puddles, and hose washing as off-limits. The only cleaning method the manual describes is wiping the bike with a damp cloth after the charger has been disconnected.
What Razor’s manual prohibits
The owner’s manual for the MX650 sets two clear limits:
- Wet or icy weather riding is prohibited. The manual says not to ride the motor bike in wet or icy weather.
- Immersion is prohibited. The manual says never to immerse the motor bike in water.
The manual’s stated reason is that water could damage the electrical and drive components or create other possibly unsafe conditions. It does not define a safe splash depth, a tolerable level of moisture, or a distance from water at which riding becomes acceptable. Because no such margin is given, the safe assumption is that any riding in wet conditions falls outside the manual’s guidance.

What to do if the MX650 gets wet by accident
The manual warns against wet-weather riding and immersion, but it does not describe a recovery procedure after accidental exposure. It gives no drying interval and no test for deciding whether a wet bike is safe to charge or ride. Because of that gap, the cautious approach is to avoid riding and avoid charging a bike that has been soaked, and to contact Razor support before using it again. That advice is a precaution, not a procedure Razor publishes.
Keep the bike’s model name and purchase details ready when you contact support, since the answer may depend on the specific unit.

Why a sealed battery does not make the bike waterproof
The MX650 runs on a 36 V battery built from three 12 V sealed lead-acid batteries. Sealed construction describes the battery, not the whole machine. The manual’s warning covers the electrical and drive components as a group, and the product listing makes no claim about the complete bike sealing against water. Do not read the battery design as evidence that rain or washing is safe.

The owner’s manual is a combined document for the SX500, MX500, and MX650. Confirm that the model name on your bike matches the MX650 before applying its instructions. The PDF is published at Razor’s MX500, SX500, and MX650 owner’s manual, and the source does not state the manual’s revision date. If your paper copy and the online PDF differ, follow the version that matches your bike and ask Razor to confirm.
