Yes—but the strongest factory-built examples are adapted for gravel, sand and rough roads, not proven to outperform every vehicle off-road. The Porsche 911 Dakar and Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato are two road-going sports cars with specific off-pavement equipment; available evidence supports comparing them, not an eleven-car ranking or the headline’s “anything” claim.
What makes a sports car suitable for unpaved roads?
Extra ride height, tires designed for mixed surfaces, underbody protection and drive modes calibrated for loose terrain can make a sports car more capable away from asphalt. Those adaptations do not make it equivalent to a dedicated off-road vehicle: ground clearance, protection and low-speed control still matter as terrain becomes rougher.
The 911 Dakar and Huracán Sterrato illustrate different approaches. Porsche gives the Dakar adjustable ride height and Rallye and Offroad modes. Lamborghini raises the Sterrato’s suspension and equips it with all-terrain tires, protective features and a Rally mode. Neither manufacturer’s specifications establish that its car is superior to every other vehicle off-road.

Porsche’s 2022 launch information says the Dakar has 50 mm more ground clearance than a 911 Carrera with sports suspension. Its standard lift system can add another 30 mm. Porsche says the raised setting is available up to 170 km/h, after which the car lowers automatically.

How the two cars compare on rough ground
In an August 21, 2024 comparison, MotorTrend reported ground-clearance measurements of 6.3–7.5 inches for the Dakar in its tested configuration and 6.4 inches for the Sterrato. These are measurements from that comparison, not universal specifications for every configuration.
MotorTrend describes the Dakar as having height-adjustable hydraulic suspension and separate Rallye and Off-Road modes. It contrasts that with the Sterrato’s single Rally mode and lack of a low-speed crawl mode. Its drive evaluation says the Sterrato was not designed for overlanding and that deeper ruts exposed limits in its suspension and underbody protection. Those are MotorTrend’s observations, not manufacturer claims or a universal ranking across all surfaces. MotorTrend’s 2024 comparison.

Which one fits your kind of driving?
- For occasional loose roads with more adjustment: the Dakar’s lift system and two off-road modes give it more described settings for changing conditions.
- For a raised, gravel-oriented supercar: the Sterrato combines increased suspension height, protective body features and all-terrain tires, but MotorTrend reports limits as ruts deepen.
- For sustained, difficult off-roading: neither car’s specifications or the cited comparison demonstrate that it can replace a purpose-built off-road vehicle. Choose a vehicle designed for the terrain rather than treating either sports car as an all-conditions solution.

The available evidence verifies two factory-built sports cars explicitly adapted for unpaved driving, not eleven qualifying models. It also does not establish that either beats every other vehicle off-road. A longer list would need clear criteria distinguishing factory adaptations from ordinary sports cars and custom builds, plus reliable specifications and independent evidence for each candidate. Without that, a definitive eleven-car ranking would overstate what is known.
