Yes—many Samsung Smart TVs connect directly to Bluetooth headphones. On a supported model, put the headphones in pairing mode, then go to Settings > Sound > Sound Output > Bluetooth Speaker List and select them. Menu labels can vary by model and year, so use your TV’s manual if that option is missing.
How to connect Bluetooth headphones to a Samsung TV
- Put the headphones into Bluetooth pairing mode so they are discoverable. Follow the headphone maker’s instructions if you are unsure how.
- On the TV, open Menu/Settings > Sound > Sound Output > Bluetooth Speaker List. The precise route can vary by model.

How to tell whether your Samsung TV supports Bluetooth audio
On many models, the clearest check is whether Bluetooth Speaker List appears under Sound Output. Samsung says having a Smart Remote is evidence that the TV has Bluetooth, since the remote pairs wirelessly; it does not by itself confirm that every Bluetooth audio feature is supported. If the list is absent, check the user manual for the exact model. Samsung’s Bluetooth device guidance recommends consulting the manual when needed.
What to do if the TV cannot find the headphones
- Check pairing mode: Confirm that the headphones are discoverable, rather than merely powered on. If they are connected to another device, disconnect them and try pairing again.
- Confirm TV support: Look for Bluetooth Speaker List under Sound Output and consult the model manual if it is missing. Some headphones are designed only for mobile devices and may not pair with a TV, according to Samsung.
- Reduce interference and distance: Walls, corners, distance, wireless LANs, microwaves, and other equipment using the same band can contribute to dropouts, hum, or malfunction.
- Allow for audio delay: Lip-sync errors can occur over Bluetooth. Samsung does not provide a universal latency figure, so the result depends on the particular TV and headphones.

Can two Bluetooth headphones play audio at once?
Some newer Samsung TVs offer Multi Connect for two Bluetooth audio devices. Samsung’s guidance says to pair the first device, pair the second, and then choose Multi Connect. Can headphones and the TV speaker play together?
Samsung documents a separate accessibility option, Multi-output Audio, for using a Bluetooth hearing device and the TV speaker at the same time. Its location depends on the TV generation:

Does Auracast work with Samsung TVs and Galaxy Buds?
Samsung announced on August 29, 2023, that software updates added Auracast to Galaxy Buds2 Pro and select 2023 Neo QLED 8K and 2023 MICRO LED TVs. Updates are required on both devices, and availability varies by market and model. Auracast can broadcast audio to multiple compatible Buds, but it does not mean every Samsung TV or ordinary Bluetooth headphone supports shared listening. Samsung recommends a Bluetooth transmitter adapter for TVs without Bluetooth audio output. Its support guidance describes adapters connected through a 3.5 mm audio port or standard left/right AUX outputs (red and white). Choose a Bluetooth TV transmitter adapter whose input matches an available port on the TV, connect it, and pair the headphones with the transmitter.
