No—not as an iTunes device-sync target. Apple’s Windows sync instructions cover iPhone, iPad and iPod, not Samsung phones. But you can use the Apple Music app on a compatible Samsung phone to stream Apple Music, or transfer eligible DRM-free music files from a computer using Samsung’s file-transfer options.
What “using iTunes” means on a Samsung phone
There are three different things people may mean by iTunes, and the answer depends on which one you want:
- Syncing a phone from iTunes on a computer: Samsung phones are not listed as supported targets in Apple’s Windows music-sync guide. Apple describes syncing music to an iPhone, iPad or iPod through Apple Devices and the Apple Music app on Windows. Apple’s Windows sync guide
- Listening to Apple Music: Yes. Apple provides an Apple Music app for compatible Android devices, including Samsung phones. This uses your Apple Account and the Apple Music service; it is not iTunes syncing. Apple’s Android instructions
- Copying music files from a computer: Often, if the files are DRM-free and in a usable format. Samsung documents USB transfers and Smart Switch options, but protected music may not work on a Galaxy phone. Samsung’s transfer guide and Smart Switch listing
Listen to Apple Music on a Samsung phone
Install Apple Music from Google Play, then sign in with the Apple Account associated with your Apple Music subscription. Apple states that the app requires Android 5.0 Lollipop or later; availability can vary by country or region. Apple also describes Chromecast and Android Auto support, with availability and casting support subject to variation. See Apple’s instructions for Apple Music on Android.
Music streamed or downloaded inside Apple Music is managed by the app and your account. An offline download in the app is not the same as an ordinary audio file you can copy from a computer to the phone.

Transfer music files from a computer
Samsung’s instructions cover Windows, Mac and Chromebook workflows. The exact screens and settings may differ by phone model, Android version or country; Samsung notes that its Canada support guidance may not match devices sold elsewhere. Use a compatible USB data cable if you choose a wired transfer, and check that its connectors fit both devices.
Windows: copy files over USB
- Connect the Galaxy phone to the PC with a compatible USB data cable.
- On the phone, choose the USB option for file transfer if prompted.
- Open the phone in Windows Explorer and drag the music files into a suitable folder on the phone.
Mac: use Samsung’s file-transfer guidance
Samsung’s Canada guide describes connecting the phone by USB and using Android File Transfer to move files from a Mac. Follow the current instructions for your devices and operating-system versions in Samsung’s transfer guide.

Chromebook: transfer through Files
Samsung describes connecting the phone by USB and using the Chromebook’s Files app to move music. The steps and available prompts may depend on the Chromebook and phone.
Restore music with Smart Switch
Samsung also documents restoring music from a computer backup through Smart Switch. Its Galaxy Store listing identifies PC/Mac iTunes transfer, but specifies that music must be DRM-free. This is a transfer or restore route for eligible files—not a general live sync between an iTunes library and a Samsung phone. Check the Smart Switch listing and Samsung’s device-specific guidance before starting.

Will your iTunes music transfer?
First identify what the item actually is: a DRM-free local audio file, a protected purchase, or an Apple Music subscription download. These do not behave alike when copied to another device.
- DRM-free local files: Samsung documents USB file transfer and Smart Switch transfer for DRM-free music.
- DRM-protected purchases: Samsung warns that protected purchased music may not be compatible with Galaxy devices. Do not assume that a purchase made through an Apple service can be copied and played as a regular file.
- Apple Music subscription downloads: These are managed within Apple Music. The documented file-transfer methods do not make subscription downloads extractable as ordinary music files; use the Apple Music app on the Samsung phone instead.
