Yes—in realme’s August 2024 demonstration, the company said its 320W SuperSonic Charge system filled a 4,420 mAh battery in 4 minutes 30 seconds in laboratory testing. That is a manufacturer-reported result for a specific folded, four-cell battery design, not a typical-use promise for phones generally. realme says charging time can vary with device settings and environmental factors.
What realme demonstrated
At its 828 Fan Festival in Shenzhen in August 2024, realme presented its 320W SuperSonic Charge system. The company described a folded 4,420 mAh battery made from four cells charged simultaneously, with each cell less than 3 mm thick. realme’s technical announcement describes the system and battery design.
realme’s event page calls the demonstration “4-Min Miracle” charging, while qualifying the full-charge time as 4 minutes 30 seconds based on laboratory testing. A realme announcement in Taiwan described charging from 1% to 95% in four minutes and from 1% to 100% in four minutes 30 seconds. Those are company claims about the demonstration, not independent test results.
How quickly did the charge level rise?
GSMArena’s contemporaneous report attributed further performance claims to realme: 26% charge in one minute and more than 50% in under two minutes. These figures describe the announced demo performance; the report is not an independent bench test. As with the full-charge time, they should not be treated as guaranteed results for another device or charging setup.

Does that mean you can buy a phone that charges this way?
The demonstration does not establish that a 320W phone or the Pocket Cannon charger shown with the technology is commercially available. TechSpot’s August 2024 coverage noted that performance in products shipping to consumers remained to be seen. The available evidence here does not confirm retail availability today.

For the GT3, realme also describes a 12A cable and dual-GaN charger on its product technology page. Do not assume an ordinary USB-C charger or cable will reproduce the proprietary 320W demonstration.
What the result does—and does not—tell you
The 4:30 figure demonstrates what realme says its system achieved under laboratory conditions with the specific battery configuration. It does not establish how quickly a retail phone will charge in everyday use, whether other battery capacities would perform similarly, or how the system performs across repeated charging cycles.

- Battery longevity: They do not provide a long-term battery-health study for this demonstration, so the charging time alone cannot show how capacity or battery health would hold up over time.
- Practical comparison: To compare fast-charging phones, check the same starting and ending charge levels, battery capacity, whether the result is a lab claim or independent test, the required charger and cable, regional compatibility, and the conditions used.
Don’t confuse it with an EV charging claim
Nyobolt’s under-five-minute figures concern a different application: its FAQ describes an EV prototype charged from 10% to 80% in 4 minutes 37 seconds using a 350 kW DC charger, alongside industrial battery systems.
