Yes. You can use the Zoom Workplace app on supported iPhone, iPad, and Android devices to join meetings, with or without signing in when the host or organization allows it. You need an internet connection; a separate headset is optional.
Which phones and tablets support Zoom?
As of October 7, 2026, Zoom lists iOS 15 or later, iPadOS 15 or later, and Android 9.0 or later as the minimum operating-system versions for its mobile app. Requirements can change; check Zoom’s current system requirements if your device is near the minimum.
Zoom says version 6.5.12 is the last Zoom Workplace mobile app version available for devices running below iOS 15 or Android 9.0 as the app transitions to version 6.6.0 and later. Older devices may therefore be limited to that version rather than current app updates.
How do I join a Zoom meeting on my phone?
- Install Zoom Workplace from your device’s app store or Zoom’s download center.
- Open the app and tap Join meeting. You can do this without signing in.
- Enter the meeting ID and passcode. If you have a meeting link, tap it to open the app and join.
- Allow microphone or camera access if you want to use your phone’s audio or video.
A host or organization can require participants to authenticate, so joining without an account is not available for every meeting. If you have signed in, you can also tap Join on the Home tab or select a scheduled meeting shown in the app. The app also lets hosts start instant meetings or scheduled meetings.

What do I need for audio and video?
Zoom needs internet access over Wi-Fi or mobile data. Your phone’s built-in microphone, speaker, and camera are enough for ordinary use, provided the app has the relevant permissions. You do not need a separate headset.
A Bluetooth headset is an optional choice for hands-free listening and speaking. Zoom lists Bluetooth speakers and microphones as optional equipment; it does not require one.

What controls and features can I use in a mobile meeting?
During a meeting, tap the meeting window if the toolbar is hidden. Basic controls include muting or unmuting your microphone, starting or stopping video, and opening chat. Additional controls may appear under More.
The available options depend on your role in the meeting, your account or license, the host’s choices, and organization administrator settings. Some features may require a license or add-on, and hosts or administrators can disable features. Should I use the app or a mobile browser?
For the most feature-rich experience on a phone or tablet, Zoom recommends using its mobile or desktop app. The web app has a different feature set, and mobile browser support is not a universal replacement for the app. Choose the app if you need its meeting controls, want to start a meeting, or encounter a browser limitation; whether a particular action is available still depends on the meeting and account settings.

Microphone permission is relevant for speaking through the phone, and camera permission is relevant for video. Zoom may request other permissions—such as calendar, photos, contacts, notifications, Bluetooth, location, or local network access—when you use features that need them. Those permissions are not all required just to join a meeting. You can review or change app permissions in your device settings.
