The Caffitaly System S21 is a capsule machine built for Caffitaly System capsules—not a universal pod brewer. Its 2015 instruction manual describes lever-operated capsule loading and programmed beverage buttons, but the available evidence here does not include a hands-on or independent comparative test. The key buying question is therefore whether Caffitaly System capsules are available where you live and suit the way you want to make coffee.
What the Caffitaly System S21 is—and what this review can establish
The S21 belongs to Caffitaly’s own capsule system. Caffitaly’s S21 instruction manual, dated 3 September 2015 in its indexed record, describes the machine’s operation and care. Caffitaly’s own product and FAQ pages explain the capsule system. These sources establish the manufacturer’s stated features, not independent findings about the coffee’s taste, brewing consistency, noise, speed, durability, or value.
The practical trade-off is straightforward: the manual describes a button-operated brewing process, while capsule choice is limited to the Caffitaly System format. Before buying, check capsule availability and price in your region, as well as the warranty and service terms offered by the seller.
Which capsules fit the Caffitaly S21?
The S21 manual says, “ONLY USE WITH Caffitaly System Capsules.” Caffitaly’s FAQ likewise says capsules carrying its logo are compatible exclusively with coffee machines marked Caffitaly System. Check both the packaging and the machine’s system marking rather than assuming that a pod with a similar shape will work. Caffitaly also distinguishes its Professional/Coffee for You line from the System line.

Caffitaly System capsules are the format identified for this machine. Caffitaly states that a System capsule contains 8 g of ground coffee; the company’s capsule page also describes upper and lower filters in its design. Those are manufacturer-published specifications and descriptions, not an independent assessment of extraction or drink quality. Confirm that the packaging is intended for Caffitaly System machines and that the capsules are sold in your market.
Can you use Nespresso or Dolce Gusto capsules?
Do not treat the S21 as compatible with Nespresso or Dolce Gusto capsules. Caffitaly’s official compatibility FAQ identifies those as third-party brands with no connection to Caffitaly, and the S21 manual specifies Caffitaly System capsules. The sources do not establish compatibility with generic or other third-party pods.

How the S21 works, according to its manual
The manual describes a sequence in which the user fills the water tank, switches on the machine, waits for the ready indicators, raises the lever, inserts a capsule, closes the lever, and presses a beverage button. It says the selected button blinks during dispensing and the machine stops when it reaches the programmed quantity. Raising the lever ejects the used capsule. This is the manufacturer’s operating guidance, not a sequence independently tested for this review.

The manual lists a 1.2-litre water tank and maximum pressure of 15 bar in its technical data. These are figures published in the S21 manual, not measurements made for this article; pressure alone does not establish the quality of the resulting coffee.

Milk drinks and the optional frother
The S21 manual mentions a separate Caffitaly System Milk Frother for heating and texturing milk. That makes it an optional accessory rather than an integrated milk system. The manual does not establish whether this frother is currently available, which accessory model is sold now, or whether it is included with any particular S21 package. Check the seller’s current listing before relying on it for milk drinks.
Cleaning and descaling
The S21 manual includes daily maintenance and descaling instructions. Follow the instructions for the S21 and consult local Caffitaly support if they are unclear. The available sources do not identify a currently approved descaler or establish a suitable formulation, so do not assume that a generic descaling product is appropriate.

Warranty, availability and what to check before buying
Warranty terms depend on where and from whom the machine is purchased. Caffitaly’s official shop FAQ states a two-year warranty for machines bought from its shop, while a separate Lebanon FAQ result stated one year for that market. Neither term should be treated as a universal warranty for every S21. Ask the local seller for the written warranty, who handles service, and what coverage applies to your purchase.

Without verified local pricing and capsule costs, a reliable running-cost or value comparison cannot be made. The clearest reason to choose—or rule out—the S21 is whether you are comfortable committing to the Caffitaly System and can readily obtain its capsules.
