Morocco’s Office National de l’Électricité et de l’Eau Potable (ONEE) has awarded Bulk Trading SA a contract to supply and deliver steam coal for the Mohammedia thermal power station. ONEE lists the award at USD 12,939,000 excluding tax, with the tender judgment dated 14 November 2025. The award record does not confirm that the coal has been shipped or delivered.
What ONEE awarded
ONEE’s result for tender SC4129583 names BULK TRADING SA as the supplier for the supply and delivery of steam coal, or “charbon vapeur,” to the Mohammedia thermal power station. The stated award amount is USD 12,939,000 excluding tax. ONEE’s tender result records an offer deadline and opening date of 13 November 2025, followed by an award judgment date of 14 November 2025.
The result establishes a procurement award and its stated scope, supplier, dates, and amount. It does not specify a delivery schedule or disclose contract clauses, nor does it establish that shipment, delivery, acceptance, or use of the coal has occurred.

Bulk Trading has also received a separate ONEE award for steam coal, but that earlier contract was for a different power station and should not be combined with the Mohammedia procurement.

The figures for SC4125216 come from ONEE’s separate 2024 award result. Because the Mohammedia result does not state a quantity, and the tenders have different destinations and potentially different terms, the two award amounts are not a like-for-like price comparison.

Bulk Trading’s 2025 award sits within a broader pattern of coal procurement for Mohammedia. Africa Intelligence reported on 8 March 2024 that Bulk Trading had won an earlier ONEE tender for the station (Africa Intelligence). Challenge reported on 27 April 2025 that Flame SA had won a different Mohammedia steam-coal contract and described Bulk Trading as a competitor active in Morocco (Challenge). Those reports concern separate tenders and do not establish performance under SC4129583.
