The listing does not explain the game’s full rules. It does not establish a number of rounds or guesses, a scoring method, or whether the game is offered on a daily schedule. Treat “Wordle” as a way to describe the quiz’s general guessing format, not as confirmation of a particular Wordle mechanic.
What data does the quiz use?
The game says its data comes from real voters through the British Election Study (BES). Its code repository names the BES Internet Panel combined waves 1–29 and Office for National Statistics constituency codes among its data sources. See the game’s source repository.
#1 Best Overall
The British Voter Bot README describes creating voter profiles from BES survey data, combining demographic characteristics and political views. It says the study has tracked British voting behaviour since 1964 and surveys tens of thousands of voters. Read the British Voter Bot README.
That description does not mean a profile shown in the quiz is a named, identifiable person or a verified record of that person’s ballot. A survey-derived profile can illustrate patterns in a dataset; it should not be treated as proof of how a particular individual voted.

Why survey wave and location matter
The BES is not one unchanging questionnaire. Its documentation records both voting-intention questions and questions about which party respondents actually voted for, and the available wording and party options vary across survey waves. Categories can also reflect the nations of the UK: for example, the SNP is a Scottish option and Plaid Cymru a Welsh one. Consult the British Election Study documentation.
As a result, party labels and answers need to be understood in their survey and election context. A profile based on one wave should not be presented as a timeless account of British politics, nor should it imply that every party or option existed in every survey period.
How voter choices become election results
At a UK general election, voters choose a candidate in their constituency. Under first past the post, the candidate with the most votes in that constituency becomes its MP. The UK Parliament has 650 MPs, and general elections usually take place every five years, according to GOV.UK. Read the official UK election guide.
This distinction matters when interpreting a quiz about how voters voted: individual votes are cast in constituencies, while the system turns constituency results into seats in Parliament. A pattern among voters is not the same thing as a party’s eventual share of MPs.

Does the quiz capture the full range of political views?
No single left-right scale neatly describes every political view. NatCen’s Dividing Lines project uses twelve questions to identify six voter types and cautions that British politics is often framed too simply as a struggle between left and right. Its work draws on the British Social Attitudes survey, a different source from the BES-based profiles attributed to the quiz. Explore NatCen’s Dividing Lines project.
