The Breville Kitchen Wizz 8 BFP560 is a food processor for chopping, slicing, grating, mixing dough and peeling potatoes—not a blender. Breville Australia lists the silver BFP560SIL as discontinued. Its published specifications include a 1000 W motor, an 11-cup dry capacity and an 8-cup thick-liquid capacity, but those are manufacturer specifications rather than independent test results.
What the BFP560 includes
Breville’s Australian product listing names a stainless steel spindle, Quad blade, adjustable slicer, reversible grater, dough blade and potato peeler. The instruction manual also describes the processing bowl, lid and feed-pusher. A safety interlock prevents operation if the machine is not assembled correctly.
The manual describes a safety braking system that rapidly stops the Quad blades if the lid is unexpectedly opened. This is a safety feature, not a substitute for following the manual’s handling and assembly instructions.
Chopping and everyday prep
Breville describes the Quad Blade System as having four chopping blades. The listing specifies two speeds plus pulse and feed chutes measuring 7 cm and 4 cm. These are manufacturer descriptions; they do not establish how quickly or evenly the processor handles particular foods.

Slicing, grating, dough and peeling
The adjustable slicer has 24 settings from 0.3 mm to 8.0 mm, according to Breville. A reversible grater, dough blade and potato-peeling disc broaden the machine’s food-preparation options beyond chopping.
Breville claims the peeler can handle up to seven potatoes in 30 seconds; the manual describes batches of six to seven in that time. Treat this as a product claim, not an independently verified performance result.

These figures come from Breville Australia’s product specifications, which are undated and were accessed in 2026. Voltage and warranty terms are especially market-dependent: confirm that the unit suits your electrical supply and that any warranty applies to your purchase market, date and seller.
Does the BFP560 come with a blender?
No. Breville’s manual says the blending jug is included with the Kitchen Wizz 8 Plus (BFP580) only. The BFP560 has the other listed tools but excludes the blending jug. The BFP580 is a separate, related model; the documentation cited here does not establish its current availability or price.

Is a discontinued BFP560 worth buying?
It may suit someone who wants a food processor with several preparation tools and does not need a blender jug. Because Breville Australia marks the BFP560SIL discontinued, buying one now means evaluating the particular unit and seller rather than assuming new-stock availability or uniform condition. The official documentation establishes features and specifications, not independent performance, reliability or comparative value.
- Check the exact model and regional SKU on the machine, not just the seller’s title.
- Confirm the unit’s condition and whether every required tool is included; do not assume an advertised BFP560 includes the BFP580’s blender jug.
- Verify the voltage against your local supply before use, especially for an imported unit.
- Ask whether any warranty is valid for your location, purchase date and seller.
- Confirm that replacement parts fit the exact regional model and are currently available before buying on the assumption that an older unit can be repaired.
