The Breville Nespresso Creatista Pro BNE900BSS4JAN1 is a premium Original-line capsule machine built around automatic milk texturing, a touchscreen and the ability to prepare coffee while texturing milk. Breville Australia listed it at A$1,499 with a two-year warranty when its product page was accessed. Its specifications make it most relevant to buyers who want adjustable milk drinks without a separate manual steaming routine; they do not establish that it outperforms other machines or is worth the price for every household.
What is the Creatista Pro BNE900BSS4JAN1?
Breville Australia identifies BNE900BSS4JAN1 as the Creatista Pro, while Nespresso Australia lists the model family as BNE900BSS. It uses Nespresso coffee capsules and should not be confused with Nespresso’s Vertuo system. The official manual says the appliance is designed for Nespresso capsules available through Nespresso or an authorised representative. What drinks and milk controls does it offer?
Breville describes nine preset drinks, with customization of coffee volume, milk temperature and milk texture. The machine has an automatic steam wand and a colour touchscreen, plus a dedicated hot-water spout. Nespresso Australia describes nine customizable coffee settings and eight milk settings, and specifies a 4.2-inch display. These are manufacturer descriptions; no independent performance test is available here to verify speed, texture consistency or drink quality.
Quick wins for a faster PC:

Breville says the machine can prepare two cappuccinos in 75 seconds, and Nespresso lists a three-second heat-up time. Treat both figures as manufacturer claims rather than independently measured results; actual preparation time can depend on the drink, setup and conditions.

- Please refer to user guide or user manual or user guide (provided below in PDF) before first use
- Includes Portafilter, measuring scoop/tamper and two filters for single or double espresso
- Stainless steel boiler is engineered to last long and work for years
- Manual steam wand to texture milk for lattes and cappuccinos
The price is easiest to justify if you expect to use adjustable milk settings, automatic texturing, the hot-water outlet and concurrent coffee-and-milk preparation. If your priority is simply making black coffee from capsules, many of these features may not add enough value to warrant a premium purchase. This specification-led assessment is not a head-to-head verdict: the available evidence does not establish comparative superiority over competing machines.
What should you know about capsules, milk and care?
Capsule compatibility
The manual identifies Nespresso coffee capsules as the intended system. Do not assume compatibility with Vertuo capsules. Before buying capsules or accessories, check the product label and the current instructions for the relevant market.
