Its appeal is the combination of capsule-based preparation and adjustable milk settings; official specifications list a 1.5 L removable water tank and a three-second heat-up. Those are manufacturer claims, not independent performance results. Whether it is a good fit depends on your market’s electrical version, available counter space, preferred drink sizes, and whether you want capsule convenience rather than a different coffee workflow.
What the BNE800BSS is—and what this review can establish
Nespresso Australia identifies BNE800BSS as the reference for its Creatista Plus stainless-steel model. Breville describes the BNE800 as a Nespresso capsule machine with an adjustable, fully automatic steam wand. That makes it a capsule-and-milk system: the capsule supplies the coffee, while the integrated wand is intended to texture milk for drinks such as lattes and cappuccinos.
The published product information establishes features and specifications, but not independent taste, temperature accuracy, speed, reliability, or milk-texture results. Breville’s description of milk as “perfectly textured” is promotional language, not a verified comparative finding. The available evidence therefore supports a feature and fit assessment, not a claim that its drinks match café-made coffee or outperform other machines. Breville’s US product page describes its features; Nespresso Australia’s listing identifies the BNE800BSS reference and its market-specific specifications.

The US listing also describes a digital display, automatic steam-wand purge, a 50 oz removable tank, and a sliding drip tray for different cup heights. The Australian tank specification is metric; these listings are market-specific and should not be treated as proof that every regional variant has identical measurements or controls.
Capsules and the milk workflow
Coffee comes from Nespresso capsules
The BNE800 manual describes extraction as designed for the Nespresso capsule system. It says, “Only the use of Nespresso capsules will guarantee the proper functioning and lifetime of your Nespresso machine,” and states that defects resulting from non-genuine Nespresso capsules are not covered by the warranty described in that manual. Treat this as the manual’s warranty language, not as a conclusion about legal rights or coverage in every country. Check the warranty terms for your unit and market before relying on it. The manual does not establish compatibility with other capsule formats, so do not assume a capsule that physically fits is approved or supported.

Milk is handled by the integrated wand
Breville lists selectable milk texture and temperature settings and an automatic wand purge. The intended routine is to prepare a capsule drink and use the wand for milk-based drinks, rather than rely on a separate standalone frother. The published feature list does not establish how consistent the texture is in practice, how much hands-on adjustment it takes, or how easy the wand is to clean. Those are user-experience questions that specifications alone cannot answer.

Check the regional version before buying
BNE800-family manuals show materially different electrical specifications by market. The US manual copy specifies 120 V, 60 Hz, and 1,500 W; the international manual copy specifies 220–240 V, 50 Hz, and 1,300–1,600 W. These differences mean a US unit should not be assumed electrically interchangeable with an Australian or European unit. Confirm the rating plate and local plug and supply requirements for the specific machine, especially when buying an import or a second-hand unit. Consult the BNE800 instruction manual and Nespresso Creatista Plus manual for the relevant regional information.

Space, capacity, warranty, and what is in the box
Measure the counter and check cup clearance
Nespresso Australia lists the machine at 17.0 cm wide, 40.9 cm deep, and 30.9 cm high. Depth is the dimension most likely to affect a tight counter, while the sliding drip tray is intended to accommodate different cup heights. Measure the available space, including room to access the tank and load capsules; the published dimensions do not describe the clearance needed around the machine.
Expect regional warranty differences
Nespresso Australia lists a two-year warranty, and Breville’s US product page also displays two years for its US listing. The BNE800 manual’s warranty section describes a two-year domestic-use guarantee or three months for commercial use in the manual’s Australia/New Zealand context, with exclusions and a Nespresso service route on Breville’s behalf. These terms and service arrangements are not universal. Confirm the warranty provider, duration, exclusions, and servicing process for the country and seller involved.

Verify included accessories with the seller
The manual lists the machine, a tasting box of Nespresso capsules, a stainless-steel milk jug, a welcome brochure, user manual, and water-hardness test strip as packaging contents. Actual contents can differ by market, seller, or promotion, so check the current listing and box contents before purchase. Breville’s US page also lists a water-hardness strip, drip-tray assembly, and drip-tray grill among parts and accessories; verify exact BNE800/BNE800BSS fit against a current official parts listing before ordering replacements.

Who should consider it—and what remains uncertain
The Creatista Plus is most relevant if you specifically want a Nespresso capsule workflow with an integrated steam wand and configurable milk settings. It is less clearly suited to someone choosing primarily on independently demonstrated espresso quality, milk consistency, speed, or long-term reliability: the cited product information does not provide comparative testing or those outcome measurements.
