Cutting, slicing and shredding
The listed accessories include a stainless-steel spindle, micro-serrated S-blade, adjustable slicing disc, reversible shredding disc and dough blade, plus a storage case. Breville specifies 24 slicer settings from 0.3 mm to 8.0 mm. It also describes its Quad blade system and multiple feed-chute sizes. These feature descriptions do not establish how consistently the appliance performs on particular foods.

Safety features
Breville says the safety interlock prevents operation unless the bowl and lid are locked and the large pusher is inserted. The product page also describes a braking feature if the lid opens unexpectedly. The BFP680 manual warns that blades and discs are extremely sharp: use the food pusher in the chute, never hands, knives or other utensils. - Inspect the bowl, lid, locking points, blades and discs for damage or missing components before purchase.
- Confirm that the electrical rating and plug suit your location. The Australian model is rated for 220–240 V; buyers elsewhere should verify local compatibility rather than assume it is suitable.
- Check whether the parts you may need can be obtained before paying, particularly a replacement bowl, lid or blade.
